My parents have this and its the worst thing I have ever seen in my life. They have been out tovmy parents 3 times to fix her washer and they have ordered the wrong part twice and Then wrote down wrong serial number the last time.canceled appointments and they have been without their washer nearly 4 months!!!!! This is by far the worse insurance i have ever seen!!!!!!!! Do not use or pay for thus service !!! It is not worth it. My parents will be canceling it once or if they ever fix their washer!!!!!

Annette L,
A&E came to my home to repair my dryer on behalf of Sears Roebuck. As is commonly known, Sears Roebuck is going out of business. However, I bought my washing machine and dryer from Sears some years ago and I had my washing machine repaired by this same company, A&E, on behalf of Sears Roebuck about 5 years ago. It took 6 weeks and 4 different attempts before A&E finally got my washing machine repaired. At that time, there was still a home office for Sears that I could call. I had the direct dial number to a customer service representative in the Executive Office which is the only reason that my washing machine was eventually repaired. I did not know when I contacted Sears in this year, 2023, that there was no longer an executive office at Sears. The service technician initially identified a problem with the dryer. He took the dryer apart and then identified a different problem. I saw on his phone that the part, a “roller” was approximately $20. Yet, the cost of the repair was about $350. When I asked him about the discrepancy, he said, “look at what I had to do to repair the dryer”, meaning taking the dryer apart. However, I was not convinced that he would have had to take the dryer apart had he correctly identified the problem from the outset. That is when and why I asked for my receipt. He said that it would be emailed to me. I corresponded with him several times over a number of days to let him know I still had not received the receipt. He kept promising me that I would receive it; yet I never did. I called every number I had for Sears and every number I could find for Sears on the internet. None of these numbers led to a live person in customer service. I was left without any means of getting a receipt from Sears. Finally, I arranged another service appointment. I asked that service technician from A&E for a receipt for my prior service appointment. He hand wrote one after I explained that I never received a receipt by email. He said that was a common issue. When I was finally able to examine the charges, I saw I was charged $50 for cleaning and maintenance. This is a service that you are supposed to request because it is extra. I was never asked about this service and I never requested it. An objective internet search shows that fixing a roller should not cost more than $100. It certainly should not be $300. I believe that these charges are fabricated and not based on the actual cost of repairing the roller on my dryer, but rather the cost for disassembling my dryer in an attempt to fix the wrong issue. I never approved $50 for cleaning. I do not believe $279.00 is the cost of labor to fix a roller. Beware of using Sears/A&E for repairs.
Dee J,
I have a warranty with Choice Home Warranty and they have had Sears out 3 time since March of this year to repair the same problem on my refrigerator. I have water building up under my deli drawer which is just above the freezer and it freezes. Each time they stated the drain tube was clogged. Each time they left and a month later the problem returned. So today was the 4th attempt and another service fee to be paid. When the tech call to let me know he was on the way and his intention was to clear the drain tube I cancelled the appointment. I could not for the life of me pay to have the same service done and not have my refrigerator repaired. I am not sure if this is standard operating procedures or just poor service. You would think over the course of 5 months and 3 service techs someone would come up with another idea to repair my refrigerator. Having a home warranty is not all its cracked up to be, especially when you do not get to choose your repair company.
Lenny G,
Folks never showed, but I was bombarded with texts and emails to confirm my appt. Waited all day for them to show. Now being constantly called to reschedule appt. NOT EVER GOING TO CALL AGAIN.

Rude not professional attitude
minnie H,
I’m not happy that I had to pay a service charge of $85.00 for the guys to tell me their is an issue with my washer.. but then added labor to the cost of repair which made the warranty company not approve the claim.& only provided a depreciated cost for my washer which is not enough to replace..I thought the service fee of $85.00 would cover the cost
