Fifth service call (maybe more) on same issue this month. Eight or nine total. Now they are scheduling, refusing to show and forging my name. It appears Billy LIED and said that it was my job to order the part (okay, how do I do that?) even though i have a home warranty and then he flat out LIED to my warranty company reporting that the issue was fixed, item working, and customer satisfied--when the freezer is not freezing properly and icemaker has not made a single cube of ice in months. Then he told my mother that the issue required ME to order a compressor. Hint, if you are telling two separate stories depending on the audience to make your life easier, you are almost certainly in the wrong.

Freddie was super nice and friendly. Unfortunately, the “fix” was the cost of new washer and I felt like his goal may have been to sell protection plans. 😞 I see now that there is a very similar situation that I may be able to fix myself for a 50.00 part from Amazon. We will see. So nice or not, I will not be calling Sears for repairs of any of my appliances. UPDATE: called another appliance repair company. He actually took the washer apart and found the issue was not even what Sears guy said. It was caused by the all the locks from moving not being removed. NOTHING to do with diagnostics or struts or whatever he said. So, now I’m just angry that Sears charged me for an absolute lie. DO NOT call them. Literally we’re going to charge me 863.00 to “fix” nothing. And then let me buy a protection plan. Unbelievable and shameful. I am not able to take my star away but would.

I will never do business with this company again and would NEVER recommend it to anyone. What a run around, excuses, no accountability, and lots of waiting, waiting and waiting. They got the job done eventually but the ridiculous amount of struggle with making appointments, getting parts shipped to us, rescheduling (more than once), and the extreme challenge trying to get an actual person to help and not AI. I thought Sears was a brand to trust but their standards have seriously fallen. Would not recommend.

Multiple visit for same repair. Ordered same part that was already here. Scheduling window is for all day. No customer service contact at all, only ai. Will never use sears repair again.

Sears’s appliance is going bankrupt the way they do the repair. They are by far the most clumsy incompetent set of repair people come across Do Not be fooled by fake five star reviews they have on the Sears website. They’re all manufactured They have been trying to fix an appliance three times already and unable to fix and it has taken them two months and it’s still not fixed

I have been a customer for 6 months- I have never had a company set an appointment- confirm then text mid day or 5pm saying.. Hello, this is Richard, your AI virtual assistant from Sears Home Services. We regret to inform you that, due to unforeseen circumstances, we will not be able to have a technician available today to service your appliance. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We would like to make this right by rescheduling your appointment at the next available time. Which of the following works best for you? 1) Thursday, 3/13, 8am-5pm 2) Friday, 3/14, 8am-5pm 3) Monday, 3/17, 8am-5pm 4) Tuesday, 3/18, 8am-5pm This happens all the time— they don’t show up— I have missed so much work and my appliance not working for so long after they had just “fixed” it.. the 1800 number is a joke- nobody calls me back— never dealt with a company that treats its customers Iike this.. when the technicians come they are nice but I have had 3 tell me — they schedule too many service calls and each day they have to cancel with customers and reschedule.. this is a fraudulent business practice.

Technician claims to have waited 15 minutes but called at 3:08 call was returned at 3:14 no response. Did not show up to the house just called seems like. Very disappointed.

I needed a yearly maintenance on my water softener and there was nothing wrong with my softener just a yearly routine check, the polite technician showed up and tested the water and said the water is very soft and everything looks good, but yet, to my amazement, he started taking everything apart and then putting them back together, after he left, my water softener started losing vacuum and the entire tank filled with water and the water kept rising and soon my garage would be flooded, I called Sears for and emergency technician visit, but they would not send anyone on the same day. Here I am 3 days after sears broke my softener and still waiting on the technician to come and fix what they broke. This is the worst experience.
