Sears was more interested in selling me a service contract they were interested in the repair I needed. I couldn’t cope with the high pressure sales position the operator was taking. I thanked her for her time and moved on.

Anthony was very good, very thorough. Nice young man. No complaints. Scheduler maybe not so good. I was told appt. between 1-5. Anthony called me around 10:00 am to say he was 40 minutes from my house. I let him come but this was not the time the scheduler gave me. I was at the grocery store and had other things to do in the morning.

My scheduled time was between 8-12 tech arrived at around 3. He was very pleasant and did a good job with the repair. But he moved the washer to repair it- but did not move it back to its correct position

He called and asked if I replaced the parts as if he didn't want to come finish the job he started. They never showed for their first appointment to install the be parts. Then said as he was leaving if it still makes noise it's loaded wrong. Loaded wrong? There are only a few ways to load in dishes. Sounds like they are trying to get out of it if it wasn't really fixed.

Fifth service call (maybe more) on same issue this month. Eight or nine total. Now they are scheduling, refusing to show and forging my name. It appears Billy LIED and said that it was my job to order the part (okay, how do I do that?) even though i have a home warranty and then he flat out LIED to my warranty company reporting that the issue was fixed, item working, and customer satisfied--when the freezer is not freezing properly and icemaker has not made a single cube of ice in months. Then he told my mother that the issue required ME to order a compressor. Hint, if you are telling two separate stories depending on the audience to make your life easier, you are almost certainly in the wrong.

Freddie was super nice and friendly. Unfortunately, the “fix” was the cost of new washer and I felt like his goal may have been to sell protection plans. 😞 I see now that there is a very similar situation that I may be able to fix myself for a 50.00 part from Amazon. We will see. So nice or not, I will not be calling Sears for repairs of any of my appliances. UPDATE: called another appliance repair company. He actually took the washer apart and found the issue was not even what Sears guy said. It was caused by the all the locks from moving not being removed. NOTHING to do with diagnostics or struts or whatever he said. So, now I’m just angry that Sears charged me for an absolute lie. DO NOT call them. Literally we’re going to charge me 863.00 to “fix” nothing. And then let me buy a protection plan. Unbelievable and shameful. I am not able to take my star away but would.

I will never do business with this company again and would NEVER recommend it to anyone. What a run around, excuses, no accountability, and lots of waiting, waiting and waiting. They got the job done eventually but the ridiculous amount of struggle with making appointments, getting parts shipped to us, rescheduling (more than once), and the extreme challenge trying to get an actual person to help and not AI. I thought Sears was a brand to trust but their standards have seriously fallen. Would not recommend.
