The service person did an excellent job. The problem I had was my appointment time. It was supposed to be between 8am and 12 pm. No call to let me know it was not happening at that time. I called and was told tech got hung up on job and would call me in 30 minutes. No call. At around 5pm another tech came to do repair. He was sent in place of original tech. NG on communication with customer service.

The Technician who came to fix the switch said there was nothing wrong with the switch, so he took the switch with him and left.

I had called Sears to come fix my dryer. Was given a time frame for the tech to come. The tech was to call when on the way. The time slot expired and of course no tech or call. I called the main number and they had the tech call me to give me an update instead of knowing how and what. Tech was great, their scheduling and communication was not.

After years of paying for a warranty with Domestic & General, my first claim has been a complete failure mainly due to their contractor, Sears. A Sears technician refused to carry out a simple repair unless I arranged (and paid twice) to move my dryer, based on an unreasonable and undisclosed policy. This completely defeats the purpose of having a warranty. Three months later, my washing machine is still not repaired. Domestic & General’s customer service offers no real help they simply repeat policy and take no ownership of their contractor’s actions. Paying for years and receiving no service when it matters is unacceptable. I expect immediate resolution otherwise I will escalate this further and reconsider doing business with both Domestic & General and Sears.

It was a waste of time. Your technicians, should be able to fix the problem, he was able to find what was wrong but not allowed to fix it. I could not recommend your company because as a consumer, I expect that when an individual has a problem that individual expects the company would empower their employees to resolve issues.

The technician stressed me out because he had already clocked out for the day. They also charged me an obscene amount for labor. I will not be using them again.

When I called to set an appointment they scheduled the repair between 8-12. Then the text they sent said between 8-5. Then received a text saying the technician will arrive at 1 o’clock then another text said 3 o’clock and they actually arrived at 4:30. Very frustrating.

Although the service man was professional and courteous. I will never make another purchase from sears again. I was lied to in store when buying my product and then the customer services to get it repaired was horrible.
