We called Sears Home Services to come out to repair our Kenmore Dryer. We gave them our model number and serial number and explained the problem in detail so that the technician would come with the part in hand to complete the job in one visit. Knowing that we were paying a set fee for the the technician to come out even if we declined the work, we were charged$127.33. The window of service time set was anytime between 8am and 5 pm. The technician came to our house, looked at the dryer visually, looked fir the part on his cell phone, discovered that the part was no longer made, charged me for providing no service and left my home all in less than 15 minutes time. I have now called Sears Home Services 5 times to demand the refund of $127.33. The first call was just after the technician left and I was told that I needed to wait up to three business days for them to see the charge on their end. I’ve called back 4 more times and each time I’m told that they are having a system upgrade and to call back another day. On my last call, I demanded to speak with a manager and was told that they would call me back in an hour. They never called. Our next step is to call our credit card and make a stop payment fraud claim and call the Better Business Bureau to report this. Sears Home Services also seems to be doing business also under another company name as the technician wore another companies logo. I cannot recommend using this company at all.

Had appointment set for 3/19 then received a text/email stating that an earlier date opened up and my appointment was rescheduled. No call/email asking if we are 'OK' with the change. Tried to call but could not speak to anyone everything was automated and kept confirming that my appointment was rescheduled to 3/13. Fixed my schedule for the 13th appointment. Date came and no one showed up. Yet again could not speak to anyone to see what happened. Person I did speak at 6:30pm elevated my issue. Someone called around 8pm, apologized for error and rescheduled my appointment back to 3/19. She did not know why the system/person changed the appointment. Very, very upset with this issue.

Extremely Poor No On Called Or Rang The Doorbell Nothing At All Extremely Poor ! No One Contacted Me I’m Sitting At Home Waiting To Hear That Someone Is On The Way !!! But Nothing ! Then I Get These Text Messages That Service Is Complete I Have Not Seen Or Heard From Anyone ! Can Someone please Give Me A Call To Correct This Issue !

I called Sears Repair services back in December to get my refrigerator diagnosed and fixed. One technician came in and said that the compressor is not working. After fighting with the manufacturer for a warranty replacement, a different tech came in and replaced the compressor after charging around $400. That cost didn't include the $99 diagnostic fee from the first tech. The refrigerator never worked. I called again and the tech started messing around with the refrigerator and a big spark came out. He disconnected his device and then said that the control board was damaged. I told him that the board was not diagnosed as faulty and that he provoked a spark while working on it. Furthermore, he said that he did not do the firmware upgrade after he replaced the compressor because he assumed the previous tech had done the upgrade. He left, denied causing the spark and declined to put it on the report after I asked him to put it in writing. Multiple appointments were made after that event and they never came back. Sears/Transformco ignored me completely. Even after filing a complaint for damages to the appliance and also through the BBB they said that my board didn't take the upgrade, which is a lie. The tech admitted he didn't do it. So, I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE SEARS REPAIR SERVICES. You will receive a bad service. They say in their phone recording that they do a thorough diagnosis of your appliance but I highly doubt it. After $500+ and a lot of wasted time I still have a damaged refrigerator. However, IF YOU CHOOSE to still use Sears for your appliance repair I urge you to get behind the technician with a video recording device and RECORD EVERYTHING. Stand behind them and watch them like a hawk. If they question why, just tell them that you are protecting your money. That will not allow the technician to lie in their report. They are not trustworthy.

The tech came out to check our microwave. We knew the fee was going to be $249.00 for a diagnostic check. He determined it could be the fuse but he did not have one in the truck to verify. Plus he indicated that he could not work on the microwave allow and needed a partner. Well, then are you coming back with one at another time. He went outside to talk to his boss, then came did some bypass and the microwave blew up. He said it the magnetron. And now it also the capacitor and where the fuse goes. All of that melted. Now the cost is $859.00. Go figure!!

I can’t believe that I had the dryer already disassembled and the company still has the nerve to charge you the full price he didn’t even diagnosed Anything I told him what was wrong and tried to charge me 550.00 to fix the heating element which I told him was the issue

Trying to get hold of a person who speaks English without a foreign accent is impossible. No matter what phone number I called, I ended up speaking to a person in a call center in a foreign country. While they were very polite I could not get my point across that I shouldn't have to wait over 2 months for Sears to tell my warranty company they could not get the parts for my washer. I was told by one person that the part was being made, and too just be patient, the part was going to be built by the end of the week. There is so much more that went wrong with Sears. To save yourself a lot of hassle, aggravation and time, DO NOT USE SEARS OR AMERICAN HOME SHIELD!!!! I will never allow Sears to do any repairs on anything I own. Nor will I ever recommend Sears to any family members or friend. How they are still in business is amazing.
