The technician decided without even looking which part I would need. Well low and behold the part he installed was not the problem at all. Now we have ordered a board and it was 35 days ago.

I have been a customer of A&E/Sears Factory Service for over 10 years. We purchase their Service Plans for our appliances, service plans that are not inexpensive by the way. This review is not about the technicians that come out, every single technician has always been amazing, professional, knowledgeable, on time and a pleasure to have in my home. This is a review of the customer service department which has gone swiftly down hill since Sears sold this part of the company a few years back. This morning I spent almost three hours on the phone and talked to seven different people before I finally was transferred to a Lady who was capable of making my service appointment. Seven different people who passed me off to others because making an appointment wasn’t their job, they could not/did not know how to make an appointment, gave incorrect phone numbers to call, talked over me when I I tried to explain what I needed, or just muted the line and waited for the line to disconnect or me to hang up. This isn’t the service that I pay for. If there is a new number to call because you’ve changed the categories of service agreements that’s your responsibility to make sure the customers that pay for these rather pricy service contracts have updated information. This year we have started looking for other options for our appliance maintenance, we will not renew when our contracts are up next year. It’s a shame because this company offered such amazing service no matter what part of the company you were interacting with and was a company I recommended to everyone. Buyer beware.
