The technicians are always professional and helpful. Now with that said absolutely everything else about my experience with Sears home service is TERRIBLE! They have this AWFUL! A.I. that is INFURIATING! I was forced to reschedule TWICE due to MISSED VISITS....NO CALL...NO SHOW.!! I know it's the crappy computer system they use. The humans that work for them have their hands tied and aren't able to help. So no point getting upset with them they aren't stupid the company they work for is!!

I give a Four star because this is the first time that I ever Bad service through Sears through my warranty program that I have the technician made more of a problem than it was, in a problem still is not dissolved. It was my AC unit compressor went out. He made a like it was more than that. Had to fix something by electric box. Had to do this to my inside unit when I didn’t have to do anything and I’m still in the heat. Very unhappy

I do not recommend the service. They are very expensive for example a belt for a clothing washer they charged $80 when the cost was eight dollars in Amazon. The labor is extremely expensive to replace the belt. It would’ve cost me $404 where I had all of this done with another provider for $185. I was told by sears that I would not be charged a second time if I wanted to have the repair done however, when I set up the appointment, they stated that they would charge me. I do not trust him and have the work done by another provider.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with Sears’ repair service for my washer. After being charged for both the part and labor, the machine continued to have the same problem. A second technician was sent to diagnose the issue and informed me that there was a different problem, which would cost more to fix than purchasing a new washer and that the previous technician misdiagnosed the washer. When I contacted customer service to request a refund, I was told that I could only get a refund for the part if I returned it. However, they refused to send a technician to remove the part. This is unacceptable, as I paid for labor and a part that did not resolve the issue due to an incorrect diagnosis by the Sears technician. I’ve also send multiple emails without response. I am extremely frustrated with the poor service and lack of accountability. I am willing to pay for the service visit, but I believe I deserve a full refund for the labor and the part, as they were ineffective and did not solve the problem. I would not recommend Sears for appliance repairs based on this experience.

I will never use Sears Appliance Repair Service again! A so called “repairman” came out Oct 2nd and told us he didn’t know much about free standing ice makers but they sent him anyways. Said his expertise was in refrigerators and freezers. Told us we should just buy a new one because the fan motor was not working and they were out of stock and even if we had him repair it the labor would cost over $500. We declined his repair offer. Then we called a very nice online repair parts company, AppliancePartsPros.com and the “REAL” repairman walked us through troubleshooting steps and found the control board was not working properly in 30 minutes and never asked for a dime! We ordered the control board from Amazon for less than $200, installed it in less than 15 minutes and the ice maker worked like new! Been trying to get a refund for the diagnostic fee for almost 2 months now and they keep telling us the refund will show up within 14 days on our credit card, but still hasn’t! 6th call today!!! Super frustrating!!! Update Nov 24, 2024 - Reply to response from Sears Appliance Repair: Evidently you didn’t read my entire post - we have already called 6 times, sent several emails with pictures and invoice from Amazon for the control panel you requested. Even after we sent proof of 2nd opinion technician email and our own simple repair we were “DENIED” our refund request!!! Update Jan 16, 2025 - Sears Appliance Repair still won’t process our refund request even after several Supervisors keep telling us it is being processed and wait another 14 days each time we call them! DO NOT USE SEARS HOME SERVICE REPAIR!
