The Sears repairman was fine. But the warranty company is looking for loopholes to deny service. Not his fault

The technician, Daniel, was fine, but apparently didn't have much experience with older Amana washers. Several parts were to be replaced, which required removal of bolts on the transmission. Unfortunately, these bolts broke and were wrung off inside the transmission, which is no longer available. So we now have an irreparable machine, and are now waiting for the corporate decision on how the machine will be replaced. Meanwhile, we have no resolution for a repair that started over 2 weeks ago. I won't even get into the scheduling issues.

They were easy to schedule with and quick to come out. The service technician was knowledgeable and got the problem fixed almost immediately. My issue was with the astronomical set price for a twenty minute fix. They know you need your appliance fixed and you have to pay a diagnostic fee either way, even if you know the problem and have the part. I’m happy my washing machine is working again, but it’s ludicrous that I paid almost as much to have it fixed (in twenty minutes) as I did for the washing machine when I purchased it new. I would likely explore other options in the future, as I feel they cater towards their warranty clients and trying to sell that service.

They sent two tech out to attempt to fix my dishwasher. One didn't even introduce himself. But they were in my home a total of 5 seconds max! There is no way you properly assess a repair within that time frame! If you're overloaded with services calls that's not my problem! DO BETTER Sears. This was unacceptable service. I highly don't recommend anyone do business with them. The tech who introduced himself. His name was Rich, or Rick one of the two. I'm not sure because they were out the door so fast!
