Although our knocking problem with the refrigerator has yet been resolved, Joseph was very sincere and honest with his approach. He explained a few possibilities and advised us to record the knocking sound so that a definitive diagnosis can be determined.

Although he was later than the scheduled service window, the automated service was consistently updating me with an estimated arrival and how many customers were ahead of me. Thoroughly checked out the machine and made sure there wasn't any further damage beyond what the error code was showing to ensure I wouldn't have any issues was the initial problem is resolved. The technician I would give a 5, I removed a star, more as a rating on Sears in that I think they should have done better in distributing the jobs among their techs, or scheduling out the times of appointments, my tech had 7 appointments before me in a 30 mile radius in all directions from what I saw on the status map.

Deceived! When I booked the appointment, I was told that the fee for the repairman would come off the price of a new oven, if I needed it. I needed one and the repairman knew nothing about ordering a new appliance. He told me that there aren’t any Sears stores, so I couldn’t get a new oven from Sears. When I told him what was said about his fee applying to a new oven, he was oblivious and said it couldn’t happen. He told me to order a new oven from a local store.

Two different service men came out today and had no clue what the problem was. They replaced the board that was ordered by New Leaf which has not affected the temperature in the fridge or freezer.

I paid $137.19 for a service call for my front loader washing machine. My Samsung washer was about 5 to 6 years old. The problem was that it could not end the wash cycle. It kept adding water but would or could not enter a spin cycle. It took him longer to fill out the paperwork than to point out my washer problem. It could not be fixed since they do not make the part anymore. He made his diagnosis using the problem I was having & his experience. Pointed out the separation of my rubber & drum. I am really sorry that I did not go online to diagnose the problem myself instead. I pretty much gave away $137.19 & then had to purchase another washer on top of the service fee amount. Lesson learned on my part.

David knew his trade for sure however the 8-5 window is ridiculous. We did not receive an am phone call and wasn’t given a proximate eta until after1. The AI system is horrible! It would be helpful to be able to speak to a human. I am sorry for your car troubles David, hope they get resolved soon.

I appreciate that this mechanic is clearly in high demand and travels all over New England, which I understand can be overwhelming and time-consuming. That said, my experience was frustrating. It took about two months to finally get my stove repaired, and there was an additional two-week delay because not all the necessary parts were ordered the first time around. While I understand being overtasked, clearer communication and better organization could have made a big difference. I hope things improve for future clients, because the actual repair—once completed—was solid.
