When I requested service I was hoping to have the same guy check on my Kenmore dryer and GE stove top. Instead I was sent 2 sears service reps and had to pay $200 deductable. Not happy about that. Ruben was able to unplug and plug my stove top back in and it worked... so he was done in 5 mins. Resulting in a labor charge of $70. Had there been someone to talk to so I could troubleshoot this appliance I could have fixed it myself. But AI is so limited in their responses that they couldn't put both appliances under the same service tech and they couldn't answer a question to help me troubleshoot. I think most folks would prefer an opportunity to fix it themselves if possible. Also, the other rep, Antony didn't have a $27 part stocked in the van so he has to return to install roller in dryer. I mentioned online and by text what the issue was related to and a human could have called me and stocked the part before sending a rep today that now needs to return in 6 days!! So even though both reps are very nice gentlemen this was a waste of time for them and me.

The Sears Technician Anthony is an excellent tech. He's thorough and knows what he's doing. Anthony answers all our questions and provides solutions. Our only negative thing to say has to do with the horrible chat bot and AI that Sears is using. You can not get a hold of an actual person when you have specific questions needing to be addressed. The AI can not give you a clear answer when you need to find out why an appointment has been canceled by Sears, which is what happened to us on May 10, 2025. The AI couldn't even schedule another repair appointment for us, instead it literally sent us to a live agent who was very difficult to understand and hear. I know everyone loves AI, but AI is not ready for prime time and speaking to a live agent is far less aggravating than dealing with an AI that gets hung up over basic commands and questions.

Paying over $400 to unplug a drain is absolutely INSANE! It took him less than 30 minutes to do the job, and to be charged over $400 is the worst I've ever gotten hosed by any sort of repairman in my entire life! Sears should be ashamed of them selves for screwing people over so badly with their horrific and incredibly insane charges for simple repairs. UNBELIEVABLE! How do you guys sleep at night. You make a guy like me that's just trying to get by in life want to put a gun in their mouth. You people are absolutely DISGUSTING!
