Pretty bad experience, they charge $100 to even come out and look at your problem. My issue was my washer knob broke off and needed to be replaced, when setting up the appointment I was asked for the model number of my washer and the problem. The technician came out only to tell me the washer is discontinued and the part is no longer available. Machines go out of service which is fine but you think maybe a 2 minute phone call when I booked my appointment to let me know that the part was discontinued would have been warranted maybe, could have saved everyone's time by not coming out and saved me my $100 as well. Pure waste of time and money.

Do not use them!! I scheduled an appt 1 week in advance. They called me 10 mins before my scheduled appt time to tell me they are booked and need to reschedule for another week out! Completely unprofessional and frustrating. Will never ever use Sears again for anything. If I could give zero stars I would!!

I called to have my air conditioner repaired believing it to be under warranty. The call taker initially told me that my A/C was not under warranty. So I called the installation salesman and coordinator, Ryan Johnson, who told me that my 8 year old A/C system was still under its 10 year warranty as I believed. They sent out a technician who arrived right at the tail end of time window given me. I was told he would perform a diagnostic for $80 and tell me what needed to be fixed. Instead, he replaced the capacitor without telling me what needed to be fixed, and then told me that my warranty was only 5 years and I was out of warranty. He was there for less than 30 minutes and he charged me $22.50 for a capacitor and $257.94 to replace something that not only can I replace myself, but could have done in less time. So I basically paid a tech over $500.00 per hour for a simple, basic fix. He looked at me embarrassed when he showed me the bill, almost like he Zillowed my house to figure out what he thought I could afford and how desperate he thought I was to have my A/C working again. I signed for the work because I was not going to argue with the tech, when being overcharged and lied to about my warranty was the fault of corporate rather than the tech. I called Mr. Johnson to let him know the outcome of the repair and that I was severely overcharged. He said he would refer it and get back to me or have the repair coordinator contact me. So far, it has been around three weeks and no one has contacted me. I would not recommend Sears repair services to anyone. They lie, they misinform about the warranty, and they overcharge for repair work. I did not diagnose the problem with the A/C myself because I was led to believe my A/C was still under warranty. This was one of my worst home repair experiences ever and one of the reasons I do almost all my repair work myself. Do not use Sears!

Charged me $100 to quote me $800 for replacing a $300 washing mainboard. Ridiculous pricing for labor, when other companies do removals and installations for $40 total.

What a horrible, horrible experience. I don't blame the repair people or the out sourced Indian customer service reps. I blame corporate for putting the bottom line way ahead customer satisfaction. Example 1) the service call has be paid up front, with one form of payment. I used a credit card. The part had to be paid with another form of payment. I couldn't use my first cc or another. I had to write a check. Example 2) the part was shipped because it was a Saturday appt. So I had to then schedule a date to have the repair completed. Still NOT done. Example 3) You complain to anyone in repair because they are shielded by our sourced customer service people from another country. Why fuss with them. For $100 more I could have had a new washer delivered and installed. I do not at all recommend Sears home appliance repair.
