Our Kenmore refrigerator stopped cooling down consistently. The Sears repair man said the coolant and fan were fine, but that our refrigerator was old and the insulation wasn't good any longer. The room couldn't be cooler than 55 degrees or the thermometer in the refrigerator will not work properly. Still testing the theory. No parts were replaced and did not receive any discount for a new refrigerator.

The service I received was great. The technician Derrick performed his tasks very professionally. However, Sears scheduling system needs to be upgraded and completely overhaul. I was sent an email and told when I scheduled the appointment that a person would be at my home between 8 and 12. That didn't happened. I suggest u review your process for scheduling. I found myself talking to someone in another country a couple of times when noone showed up between 8 & 12, and the guy couldn't adequately provide any answers or information. After experiencing no assistance or answer, I call the Arden Fair Sears store. I talked to a guys in the appliance department, explained the situation, and he said I going to get some one to your house today. And he did. I believe Sears owe me because they broke the law by the big inconvenience of waiting more than 4 hours.

The gentleman arrived on time. Did a visual inspection and attempted to fix the problem. The leak was only half taken care of. We had to call again on July 6.

On the plus side, the repair person showed up early in the time window I was given, was polite, fixed the problem in about 15 minutes, and my 18 month old dishwasher now works well again. So why am I unlikely to use Sears repair again? Two reasons. The first is the overly aggressive attempts to sell me a service plan when I called to make the appointment. I assume they were only doing what their superiors told them to do, but if they had said another word after the third time I declined their pitch (literally yelling NO!!!, THANK YOU) I would have cancelled the repair appointment. The other problem is that I feel gouged by the $170 bill to remove a small piece of broken glass that had fallen into the works. No parts were required.

As for the protection plan, the associates are trying to sell the protection plan for your benefit! We strive to provide the best customer service, and want to save you the most money in the long run. There is no internal pressure to sell them, we just want our customers to not have to pay as much for unexpected repairs, since we see you were upset with your bill in the end. Technician said there was nothing wrong with the heater element (which was reported as needing repair during the annual appliance checkup). He did not re attach the bottom front dryer face plate nor did he give me an invoice of the visit. .

Since last June my Washing machine has not worked correctly...I have a MRA and Sears has sent MANY workers here and they did not know what they were doing. This last one seemed to have fixed the loud banging noise I was hearing. For now I give it 3 stars...who knows if it will work tomorrow...? I will never buy another Sears product!!

When Sears came to look at our washer, we were told we needed 2 parts. We paid for both which were backordered for 30 days. When the parts arrived and the techicians came back out, they said they were the wrong parts. We had to pay more money and the technicians went to a local hardware store and were able to complete the repairs the same day. So we were without a washer for 6 weeks when it should have been less than 2. We were not happy with the delay or the excuses, and especially with the extra money we had to spend. However, the repairs were completely and the machine is working properly. We're usually very happy with Sears but this experience was very unfortunate.
