The repairman couldn't find the leak in our refrigerator, but we continued to have water on the floor. He didn't even pull the refrigerator out to see if the water pipes were leaking. Another repairman from a different company came to fix something else and diagnosed the problem. Furthermore, Sears was paid on the spot and has billed us again.

If I could give no stars, I would. Tech came out for a service call to diagnose my refrigerator and, unbeknownst to me and unauthorized by me, cut off the dryer filter. Gave me an estimate for the repair, to replace the compressor and dryer filter of $ 1,200+, handed me the cutoff part, and left. I did tell the tech that I could probably get a new fridge for a little more than what the repair would cost, when he handed me a flyer to Best Buy with a handwritten service order # and said to go there for a discount, should I choose to get a new fridge and not move forward with the repair work. I called Sears Home Services to complain about why the tech cut off anything my fridge, as he was not authorized to do so. I was informed that I could not file a complaint or speak with a supervisor until I scheduled another service call with a new technician to determine exactly what the first Sears technician did, and I would be charged for a new service call. I called another company to see if they could now fix what Sears tech did and replace my compressor. I was informed that the way the tech cut the dryer filter may not be fixable, and I will most likely need a new fridge! Sears tech left me with no fridge, just a week before Thanksgiving! I have filed a complaint with the California Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA).

My appointment was scheduled for 8am-12pm. My technician arrived around 5:30pm. I had no updates from anyone and only saw online that the expected arrival time was getting later and later. The technician had to install a part ordered by the previous technician. The technician admitted they had never installed the part before and claimed it worked before leaving. Unfortunately, the ice maker dispenser still doesn’t work and no ice will come out of the ice maker. I tried calling multiple times before the technician arrived to speak with someone but couldn’t, only had an automated system. Today when I called to schedule a new appointment, the customer service representative repeatedly ignored my questions, kept repeating the same thing and scheduled a video call and said the video technician would determine if I needed to pay another copay and order a part and tell me if it was a new issue. I pay almost $80/month to have bad service. Do better Sears. Your employees are giving you a bad name.
