The work was good, but it took almost 2 months to complete the job. I had to go and buy a used washer to wash our clothes because it took too long.

I have to report What Went Wrong with the Technician on May 16, 2025 Technician's actions: It appears that the technician (Jim) either failed to or did not properly position his phone to scan the tag and instead rubbed the tag with his hand and a towel, rendering important information unreadable. Policy Misinterpretation: The technician stated that she could not proceed with the repair due to Sears Home Services policy, likely referring to the need for a legible label to identify the device and order possible parts. A technician damages a label and then refuses to do the repair. Misinterpretation of policy: The technician stated he couldn't proceed with the repair because of Sears Home Services policy, likely referring to the need for a legible label to identify the appliance and potentially order parts. Please assign another technician for tomorrow May 19, 2025

1st he showed up and explained that the email from sears was misleading and that it was not $129 for diagnostics and that fee is waived if there is a repair needed. Then proceeds to slap me with a $400 repair bill for a $40 part. You guys a kicks rocks. I’ll fix the machine myself. I feel completely ripped off. This was a horrible experience and I will never use you guys for anything in the future.

The guy came. He was the nice guy but when he left 10 minutes later we heard a loud hissing sound and smoke and a weird chemical smell in my house. I was calling him back but no response. He finally responded to a text and said he's been doing it 28 years. I had to call the fire department because I understand Freon could be fatal and I'm a heart patient so we were really panicking and had the fire department over here. My refrigerator was at least working at 50 to 60%. Now it's not working at all. I had to unplug it because it kept releasing chemical smell and hissing really loud. That never happened before until the technician left. I'm extremely upset. All he did was tell me to call GE and said it was a seam system problem and was warrantied for 5 years but when I called GE they said that's not the case. That's only for a GE profile high-end refrigerator, but mine was only warrantied for one year. Anyhow, I'm upset because my refrigerator is now completely on the blink whereas before at least I got to use it. This has been a total mess. What are you guys going to do about it? I had to unplug the refrigerator. Now I have no refrigerator or freezer and I can't refrigerate my medication! I can easily verify that. Fire department was here. There was a strong chemical order in my house all day long and it kept happening every so often all day,! I don't want the same technician to call me and I do expect a call from a manager. I'm going to file a complaint if this is not taken care of and I'm going to go on social media and let them know my true experience with pictures of the fire department and!
