After spending a very uncomfortable evening with both a/c units non functional, I looked with dread the coming day as dawn broke. Seared into my smouldering brain was the local news forecasting a record 120 degree temperature day. While my relatives living in humid areas of the country are quick to point out, 'but it's a dry heat, you don't have the humidity like we do', I point out to them that my oven is also a dry heat and it cooks just fine. Then the Sears repair guy came by and in no time at all I felt the familiar cool breeze I've come to depend on from the wall register. Thank you, a thousand sweaty thank yous!
