Lorenzo was great. Through some contortions, he was able to squeeze behind my Kitchenaid range and get access to the lower heating element wires. He replaced the burnt connector, connected it to the heating element, closed everything up, and left me with a functioning oven. Bravo! What would have made this service call even easier would have been some way to tell Lorenzo, ahead of time, what the issue was and what parts might be needed. As it was, the downdraft blower unit was a speed bump, but the heating element repair was successful anyway. The rubber bellows will have to be replaced at some time, but for the moment, the repaired oven can be used, and the downdraft system might just be somewhat degraded.

The technician was efficient. The trouble was the technical support to try and make payment. It took more time to fix the technical payment method professing than the technician actually performing the dryer maintenance cleaning. I was looking to establish a maintenance service with Sears again for other appliances like the Washer and refrigerator. But am left wondering why the system is so cumbersome

It always seems to be cost ineffective to repair an appliance. So I worked on buying a new appliance, but the system would not allow me to have a billing address different from the delivery address. Sears lost more than $800 in revenue.
