Scheduled appt via home warranty for an issue with LG dryer not heating and power shutting down. Technician came and without checking concluded it was an electrical issue. I realized it’s an appliance safety mechanism to restart thermal fuse. Now i have to wait another week to get an appt via home warranty. Very inefficient.

The first visit out was clearly a teaching mission. The 2 technitions took a little longer then usual to diagnose the problem, but they were thorough and careful. The return visit to install the replacement part did not show up. On the third appt, the technition did not know what he was doing. He said as much. He was a refrigerator technition and mine was a dishwasher repair. He took apart my whole dishwasher, while reading instructions on the internet, and after an hour, he threw in the towel, and said he had to go because he didn't know what he was doing. So, I've got appt #4 set up. I hope the next guy can fix the disaster the last guy left. Thank goodness it's under warranty! But honestly, I feel badly for the guy. He was not having a good day.

Looks to end the appointment in any way possible. First he said I wasn't at home and ended the appointment when I was and he came nowhere near the home. Did that again when the appointment was rescheduled only this time I was outside the home and he wasn't there. He showed up 15 mins later after pretending to be there. Then he tried to get me to blindly sign a pre existing damage waiver without explaining what it was. When I refused he just left and ended the appointment. Sears is the worst. They haven't addressed my repair in 3 weeks and Vince S is a terrible technician.

The technician came, said what I was calling a crack was a scratch, and had me sign docs that he didn’t show me, and recommended NO fix. I later learned that Sears dies NOT cover cracks in glass stove tops. Talked with four reps before finding that out. Sears has a 1.5 rating on YELP. Their service has degraded into contracts of things they don’t cover. Poor experience all around.

Service person kept rescheduling. Then the electronic system took over rescheduling . The refrigerator broke down in mid July . In early September we finally contacted a human representative that put us in touch with another local repair shop that finally repaired our refrigerator in late September. It’s sad that a once mainstay in American manufacturing and service has sunk to a sorry has been. After being a customer for over 50 years buying many products from Sears I’m left with no remorse for moving on to another company and brand.

The technician was un-professional and lacked maintenance of basic hygiene. He did not fix anything. His solution is to operate the appliance on lower capacity and efficiency. The issue still remains, so utterly dis-satisfied.

Report what was shared to us and what was reported to home warranty has conflict. The tech who visited our house to diagnose was not that professional in talking to customer. My wife just asked if it can’t be repaired , can it be replaced. He then spoke something about car insurance etc which doesn’t make any sense. Totally unprofessional.
