Jose: Was scheduled for an appointment between 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM. He arrived at 4:00 PM. Upon arrival I played a video of the sound the dryer was making when it contained a load of clothes. He watched the video and quote me cost for repairs of $800.00. He never inspected the dryer rather based on his experience and watching the video he knew the problem and cost would be. I had to make him earn the $139.00 diagnostic fee by opening the unit and showing me what’s needed to be replaced. Today, I looked on line and determined the parts were less than $50 - $75; therefore, Jose’s labor charge appears to be $725.00. I have used Sears many times and yesterday was the very worst experience I have ever had.

I was not happy with Jose! Number one he came in and.claimed that I had the parts already which I didn't. Then he tried to get me to pay for parts I didn't need. I had listed the part that needed to be fixed when I requested service and showed him the issue when he got here. Next he wanted to charge me $500.00 and when I said I was not going to paid that amount it was to much he changed the amount to $300.00 dollars! I felt I was being up sold to pay for something I didn't need. So I decided not to use sears and told him I was going another route then he wanted to know if I wanted to have him haul off the dyer so he could take it and left his number for me to call him which I will not do! His customer service left a lot to be desired! I will not be using Sears again!🤨

Martín came out to check my washer and the diagnostic was that it needed a pump. Just to check it cost $129 which would be waived if I proceeded with the repair. The repair was going to cost $482. This is a 10 year old washer. I asked about the warranty and it would be 30 days. I commented that I would rather put the money ($482) towards a new washer. It was obvious he didn’t like my answer because he spent the next few minutes trying to convince me not to buy a new washer. It just felt like his commission was more important. He also tried to get me to purchase a home warranty to lower the price but the price was not reduced by much. After I paid and he left, several minutes later he called me back and said if I was going to buy a new washer he could give me some information which I took. I learned that he gets a commission if I buy. I just felt like his best interest was with himself and not the customer. This was a waste of time and money. It’s very unfortunate because up until now, I was very happy with Sears customer service. All of the previous reps were amazing. I think I will take my money elsewhere and not deal with sears at all.

Scheduled an appointment for my washer. It's not spinning and the clothes are damp. Technician told me that I need to pull out the washer before he could service it. I Canceled my appointment and I'll canceling my policy.

Scheduling was easy. The technician who came out had a horrible attitude and refused to contact a supervisor in order to confirm the repair warranty period. He also ridiculed me for double checking the quote he had provided by using the internet to search. When I called the main line I got completely different information from both what the technician was sharing as well as what was posted on the website. When I notified the representative on the phone about the poor service from the technician, instead of addressing it he tried selling me one of their plans until I told him it seemed silly to pay for a service where the only human representation I had met for them was providing the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had in American.

I am not rating any stars for my experience with Jose. I feel he did not provide what was expected with a service tech. We first received an appointment for a tech on 06/07/25 and after a few hours into the slotted time it was rescheduled until 06/11/25. This is when Jose first came. After looking at the washing machine he determined a replacement control board would need to be ordered. Since the lid to the washing machine was locked and clothes in over 20 gallons of water were left, a strong mildew-like odor was present. Multiple calls to Sears were placed to send a tech to open the washing machine. Several appointments were made, and subsequently cancelled without giving an immediate response. In fact it was not until we called back that we were advised the appointment was cancelled due to no part-even though we never received a follow-up call to confirm if the part arrived. We finally made a preventative maintenance call for our Dryer, hoping the tech would open the washing machine, to try to relieve the odor. Jose came for the PM and advised he would not be able to touch the washing machine since his call was only for the dryer. Jose also said the machine would not open unless he broke the latches. Jose did not tell us our part was not available. We then called and spoke to the Lemon Law Dept and received a case #7936342, and was told we would receive a status update in 10 business days. After almost 2 weeks a different tech, I think his name was Adrian, helped open the washing machine, drain the water and removed our control board so someone could attempt a repair. Today, after 12 more days Jose came back and said the part did not work and we would get a replacement washing machine soon and to expect a call or email in 7 to10 business days. I don't think Jose was there to help

The repairman overcharged for a simple fix and now the dryer is making a strange noise. Not satisfied at all.
