The technician was very nice. He just told us that the washer would last six months to two years. It wasn’t worth fixing the problem (leaking oil) because at that point might as well buy a new one. He was very nice very talkative we basically just paid for a diagnostic.
Elda S,
Customer service response - We're glad to hear the technician was nice and informative, Elda. We apologize for the disappointment with the outcome, and we appreciate your feedback.

The man was nice but all he said was the refrigerator was 3 degrees too warm. I felt he did not fully address the chemical odor ( like a dry erase marker) coming from the refrigerator. He left after 5 minutes. I can still smell the chemical odor. The odor makes me nauseous and gives me a headache.

10/9 Final service update, Sears reached out to schedule virtual appointment. Had a follow-up visit with Alex. Was scheduled as a virtual but he knocked on the door. Very nice, listened to the service history, said unit was good, and pretty much said the 2 prevuous Sears techs were wrong when they stated really low ohm reading (8.1 when normal is 400) for heating/defrost element and needed to be replaced. I have a working refrigerator and with a warranty. Will use if/and when it does finally stop working. Draw your own conclusions on my service experience. 10/8 Update Contacted Assurant insurance company that provided the repair vendor recommendation. They do not see any denied responses to thier auto defrost heater part order request. They are reopening and contacting vendor to complete the service. More to follow. 10/6 reupdate, found a phone number to a human while Googling. Called and reached India. She was very nice, apologetic, and told me the tech closed the ticket as he could not get warranty approval to move ahead. Fine, but send/text me a meesage so I could have followed up. Your neglect to communicate, has my refrigerator still broken. 10/6 Update (changed rating to ZERO, but site requires at least a 1 star), as requested by Sears response below, I reached out to website AND phone only to be instructed by AI assistant to use website. Website response told me to call by phone. Issue from what I'm guessing, because I have never been able to discuss with a Sears representative, is the tech didn't update paperwork to show reorder, which I'm also guessing he never reordered the needed part he took with him. For a cost, I can open a new service to fix the original issue reported last month. 10/4 Update, now Sears Service cant locate my past visit yesterday and has no record of me. Service was not completed as they needed to order another part. When I did not recieve an email status or next schedule date, i called. No idea of what to do next as my refrigerator sits warm and off. 10/3 Was quick and focused. Disassembled, installed, and reassembled refrigerator using 1 of the 3 parts (thermostat-heater) ordered. A newer part needed to be reordered (heater/defrost element) to complete the repair. Other part, thermostat-light was not needed, I appreciated the detailed descriptions during the complete process. 9/25 Tech out, diagnosed issue, ordered 3 parts (heater/defrost element, thermostat‐heater, and thermostat-light) and scheduled follow-up visit.

Not a good experience. Part ordered didn't work and one of your technician s took it with him. I know I have to pay the service fee $129., but I want the rest of my $421. Returned to me.

They forgot to install one of the screws that holds to outer cover of the microwave door in place at the bottom. now it wiggles and is not secure. If you send me the correct screw I can install it myself.

The tech showed up at my door tracked dirt on all over the floor, left the gate open every time he showed up. Took 3 times to get the job done. Why would a tech show up not ready to test for a leak, fix the leak all at the same time? Instead he showed up, did an assessment, came back two day later, tested for a leak, and two days later showed up to fix it. And still left the damn gate open. Ridiculous!
Patty B,
The repair man was fine, but to charge close to $ 600 to fix the dial that you use to choose what type of wash you want on a 5 year old machine is absolutely insane. I can get a new washer for that price. So I'm out $105.00 dollars for the diagnostic charge.
Al R,
Don’t come to my home and give me a lecture about how I should have read the manual to my washer! Not once but twice! So disrespectful. Mind your business and keep your opinion to yourself

(Translated by Google) I don't understand why they send people who know nothing about washer-dryers. Mr. David Mereds arrived and, upon seeing the appliance, said it would be his first time repairing one. At first, I thought he'd at least have some idea about it, but he started by asking everything the manual suggests, like if there was an electrical fault. I had already done everything to find the problem: my washer-dryer wasn't vacuuming the lint and was leaving it in the drum, and it wasn't drying properly. It would just finish the cycle, but the clothes would come out damp. I showed him some clothes I had just washed and told him it wasn't an electronic issue, but something about the filter in the drain hose that probably had lint stuck in it. He said that if I wanted him to look at it, I would have to sign a repair consent form. He told me—because he didn't let me read it—that if the repair was done incorrectly or not at all, he wasn't responsible. I agreed, assuming the repair wasn't guaranteed and that it could be something else. I didn't know and I understood he should call a Samsung technician. When I suggested it might be the air conditioner, he replied that it was easy to remove and maybe it was, but even if it wasn't, he couldn't do anything else since he didn't know how to work on electronic parts. I told him okay, go ahead. He opened it and sure enough, it was full of lint. He didn't have a vacuum cleaner or hose to remove it, so I provided him with the tools to clean it. I had bought them for that purpose, but because it was so deep inside, he couldn't access it. Everything was fine up to that point. The problems started later because when he put everything back in place, he didn't do it properly. While handling it, he broke a part and it wasn't right. He left an opening on the left side, which would cause steam to escape and damage the electronics. I told him to try to fix it, but he said he couldn't, that he had warned me and that I had agreed to let him break it, and that it would stay that way, and that if I continued, I would be charged. It's $100 per hour, and that already exceeded his time. He texted me to say 5:12 pm, but he actually arrived at 5:30 pm and didn't want to continue because, for him, it was something that couldn't be repaired since it was broken. But it wasn't because it was broken before; he broke it while reassembling it. He was frustrated by the limited space to work inside the washing machine, not because he couldn't clean it—that was done properly. He had the problem; he didn't do it correctly, he didn't reassemble it properly, and he damaged it. He told me to call Samsung to have it repaired and to ask for someone who speaks Spanish. I don't know why he said that since we spoke English the whole time. My brother-in-law speaks both languages, and I speak a little, but I understand. His comment was rude, and he had a very bad attitude. He rated his own service—he gave himself 5 stars. It's better to give it 5 stars since he only asked me to sign and pay him for his time. I've attached evidence. I paid them to break a part that wasn't damaged. I don't recommend this company. I didn't use Sears' services, nor did I contact this person, David Mereds, number 0602268. He just talks and doesn't check anything. I didn't want to do it myself from the start because I thought a professional would be a good idea, but it wasn't. He thinks that because a woman doesn't know, I had a feeling it might be something, but I wasn't sure, and he made me feel bad with his comments. I know he speaks in English; maybe I can't answer everything, but I understand. And my brother-in-law speaks both languages perfectly. I don't know why he had such an unprofessional attitude. I paid $218 plus $50 for the part I ordered through iBay because he broke it, and now I have to replace it, something he refused to take responsibility for. Very bad service, and I don't recommend him.
