  3. The technicians was great but your phone service call people that do the appointments are horrible !!! You do not put your customers first !!

    Horrible ! The people that you call for appointments act like robots!! Customers do not come first!! Waiting two months to get a washing machine fixed is ridiculous!! Especially when the technicians do not show up , this company has gone downhill so much!! I would not use them if I did not have a warranty!!!

    This appointment was to replace a gasket on my refrigerator. As is typical, the timeframe I was given for the technician's arrival at my house was between 8am and 5 pm. Finally, a little after 2pm, the tech called and asked if the gasket had been sent to me. I told him it had not and he asked if the person who I set up the repair order with had talked to me about ordering the part ahead of time or if the tech was going to order it. I told him no discussion had taken place. The tech then said he would order the gasket and have it shipped to me and asked if I wanted to install it myself. I told him I would make that decision once I received the part. I feel a day of my time was wasted waiting for this service, only to find out that someone dropped the ball on ordering the replacement part. I'm not sure if I will attempt to replace the gasket myself or risk waiting around for another day because Sears is not able to zero-in on their tech's arrival time closer than an 9-hour window.

    Unfortunately we paid for the Sears Protection Plan for repairs and an annual maintenance check for our 4 Kenmore appliances (washed, dryer,refrigerator and dishwasher). We discovered that having the service plan meant that you couldn’t schedule repairs on line but, instead, had to call the 800 number and speak with a representative in some far away county whose English was barely understandable who would then transfer you to a trouble shooting technician. I was on hold for over 30 minutes all the while being told by the “computer voice” that I could do this on line which is true only if you haven’t been stupid enough to pay Sears for a maintenance contract. We had an appointment for annual maintenance on our appliances on July 11 between 8am and noon at our home in New Hampshire. At 8 am I received a call from my assigned technician, Michael, asking if this service was to be performed at my New Hampshire home as he was in Florida!!!!! Yes, despite the fact that the address on the service order was clearly in New Hampshire, they assigned a Florida technician to do the work (I also have a service contract for my Florida home and was familiar with this technician as he has done work in my home and knew that Sears has previously sent a New Hampshire technician to my N.H. home for a work order on my Florida appliances!). After speaking with the Florida technician, Michael, we agreed that he wouldn’t be able to make the 1400 mile trip in time to meet the service appointment so he would have to cancel the appointment. I tried calling the 800 number but it wasn’t open yet. I was able to do an on line chat and, after much back and forth, the appointment was rescheduled with a New Hampshire technician for the same day which was essential as we were selling the house the following day. The technician did arrive and was excellent in all phases of the visit. We have never had a problem with the technicians - they are very good - but we will never again deal with Sears repair service as their scheduling and dispatch service is completely and totally abysmal. Our advice is do not waste your money on a Sears Protection agreement!!!!
