Philip called around 5:00pm saying he had one more service call to make before coming to our home. We had been waiting since 8:00am. I told him our house was a bit tricky to find because it is a long dirt driveway and you cannot see the house from the street and I started to give him some directions. He grumbled that he would not remember "all that" and said he'd be along after the other service call. He banged on our door (even though we had a lit doorbell. He grumbled a hello when I greeted him and quickly said there was nothing wrong with our refrigerator after observing it and placing a "magnet" on the inside frame of the door. I told him that the refrigerator was very, unusually quiet and was not keeping the temperatures as cold as they have been for the past 3 years. I also told him that my food was going bad more quickly. He dismissed my complaints, saying that I should be thankful that the refrigerator was as quiet as it is. He said I had my thermometer in the wrong spot and threw it in my crisper drawer. He also said that where I was putting my uncooked meats (in the upper right hand corner of my top shelf) was also wrong, even though it sometimes ices up and I had been doing this for 3 years without a problem. My ice makers are working, but I had them replaced on 7/31/23. No computer codes were taken for errors. He then left! I felt it was a very poor service call and nothing was resolved.

Not very good listener

He didn't listen to what I had to say. My washer was running for all night and it completed when he was here. So he basically took money. He didn't have answer for why it took so long . Some days it doesn't even spin, I asked him why is that happening- no answer there as well.

This technician came into our home more concerned about payment upfront before he even asking or trouble shooting the issue. Please do not ever send him back to our home. Simply rude!

NOT WHAT I EXPECTED

I wanted to have my washer and especially my dryer cleaned. Maybe the washer got cleaned. The dryer did not. I was told that I would need to make a different appt and have the motor and rollers replaced. Or just buy another dryer. MY DRYER WORKS. It does make too much noise when running. But shouldn't the lint have been cleaned out? I saw NO evidence that it had been. And that was my MAIN REASON for scheduling the service. After the tech had gone, my husband took a coat hanger and cleaned 1/2 grocery bag of lint JUST UNDER THE REMOVABLE LINT TRAP. I feel sure the rest of the dryer is similarly full. Very dismayed and very disappointed. Not likely to recommend this service to anyone else.

This review is not directed at the technician, because a technician never showed up because of overbooking. I booked an appointment for Monday service with a window of 8-5. Waited around all day and received a call at 3:45 stating that the tech wouldn't make it. My options were to reschedule for Wednesday or the following Monday. I cancelled a dentist appt. to reschedule for Wednesday. Waited around all day Wed. until getting a call from the tech at 6:27 p.m. telling me that he was overbooked and wouldn't make it. Would I like to reschedule? Absolutely not! Thankfully, I was able to find a local appliance repair company that was able to make it out to my house before 10 a.m. the next morning. I will never, ever deal with Sears Home Services again. The customer service was horrible (good luck speaking with a person) and I never received a call from a supervisor as promised. I would give negative stars if allowed.

Was interesting complaining cause of cord on frig/ took 2 calls about 25 minutes long and we got charged for that time!! Never asked if we wanted gasket ordered just did it!!interrupted me speaking cause I interrupted him!!Because he told me I needed to get an electric person out here to put plug behind frig,that's been running off exstention cord for 22 years!! We don't feel we should have been charged that much and never had paper to cancel order
