Didn't want to be here
Larry was ready to leave before he even arrived . He left his van running in my driveway and assured me the repair would be finished before I needed to leave in 25 minutes. He admitted he didn't know the task he was sent to complete when I asked how long he would need. He gouged my vinyl floors with the feet of the built-in oven trying to move it by himself and proceeded to scold me loudly when he shocked himself trying the remove the burner assembly. Larry claimed we should have had the power to the unit shut off or had it unplugged when he arrived . I explained I wasn't notified of this and have never been told that in previous repairs. He needed another person (my husband or me) to hold the stovetop in order to install and uninstall the burner assembly and had us going up and down the stairs to open and close off the breakers. He was disorganized in returning the unit to finished assembly , didn't check some of the wire connections until I noticed they were hanging loose, and didn't even turn the newly replaced burner on to check it for function before he signed on a line for me . When I asked he said I didn't need to sign anything. I've never had a Sears technician like this before and I've always purchased through Sears with extended warranties. Under Trained and has no time!
He clearly lacks technical knowledge and is more interested in checking off his cal for as many appointments as possible regardless of whether issues are resolved. Arrived late in the afternoon, and right from the get go want away out if the job. Left the range broken and even worse than before doing the work. Shame on Sears, Cinch, this home warranty business is a shame!

Service for stove
We were very upset when we were told that the previous Sears repairman didn't put the screws back in from the first repair. Then after the diagnostic was completed and we didn't accept the repairs there was a very strong gas smell and it wasn't like that before the diagnostic was completed. The repair man knew that there was a gas smell while the stove was off because he asked us if it always had that smell of gas when it was off. We told him no. I don't think we should have had to pay the $99 when the first repair man never put the screws back in and the 2nd repair man shouldn't have never left with that strong of a gas smell which was never there before the diagnostic. I believe he had to have done something to make the gas smell like that. I'm not sure if the repair man caused it or not. My mom and I both had very bad headaches and we had to shut the gas valve off. We were very disappointed with the service.

Focused on upsell & not neutral
Technician offered several times to schedule a repair for me assuming that the claim would be denied. She made it clear that some nearby pieces may also 'break' so I should be prepared for additional charges. Add this to her assurances that she was impartial and was only there to document the issue - not offer an opinion, even though she seemed to be giving the extended warranty company what was needed to deny the claim. She confirmed that the issue was definitely NOT the usual customer caused issues, but said she wasn't really able to confirm that there was damage. When the warrantor asked her for an estimate, she deliberately added all the pieces that she might damage during a repair attempt which drove the claim up significantly.

This was the third time Jayson was scheduled to come to my house to repair my range. The first time we couldn't cut off the gas and I had to pay someone to come install a cutoff valve behind my stove. I called and rescheduled the repair and I tracked Jayson all day so I would be ready for him. The tracker said he was at my house but he never showed up. I had to schedule a third appointment. Today he came and did install the part and inspect the stove. I will never understand what happened the second time. He even put on the account that he was here and completed the job. I had a very hard time getting the third appointment scheduled since he claimed the job was complete. I did not confront Jayson with this today. Thank you.

Failure of repair
The part he replaced did not fix the oven. I smelled propane before it lit. He turned on the vent and said to always use when baking. Oven temperature did not maintain while baking. Dropped to 185 degrees. Went to a neighbor to finish baking bread.

Not super happy. This is 3rd repairman sent & I can only hope it's actually properly fixed now. All repairmen were polite, just don't understand why it takes 3 of them to fix one issue.
