Karl arrived late Monday afternoon, diagnosed the problem, ordered the appropriate part and scheduled installation appointment for Friday. The part arrived on Wednesday. The technicians should have a small supply of common parts on their truck. When I made the appointment ,I indicated that it was the ignitor. That should have signaled to dispatch that it would be beneficial to have an ignitor on the truck. Since Sears Repair has been sold/reorganized, they are apparently not allowed to keep parts on the truck as they used to. This means the tech has to make an initial visit to diagnose the problem, then order the part and then return to install the part. Does not seem very cost effective or consumer friendly. Karl was fast and efficient doing the repair and was very congenial. Repairs and labor costs were covered by Sears Master Protection Agreement, but to schedule service, you have to schedule on line and not utilizing the 800# as was done previously. All AI driven... No human interaction.

The entire online system is terrible. There need to be humans available to respond to questions and be able to contact if there are issues. The phone number brings me to an automated system and the online chat is automated as well. There is no option anywhere to contact a human. Good customer service must involve living breathing humans. I would not recommend sears home services to anyone, ever under any circumstances.

The technician, Artex was awesome-friendly, helpful n professional. HOWEVER, Trying to navigate through the AI system was a lengthy nightmare! You never reach a person and if for some unknown reason AI cannot locate u in their system, you may as well slit your wrists as it is a circle of frustration!

Took 3 visits by technicians & 3 more cancelled appointments to change the starter on a stove eye. Johnathan, however, is thorough and polite.
