Repairing an old Kenmore drop-in range
My 34 year-old drop-in electric range had two issues: a burnt-out baking element in the oven, and an electric eye that would go "nova" and be uncontrollable. One fix was straight-forward, but the other was not. Thank you, Ignacio, for your persistence and technical prowess!

Technician was very quick, professional and efficient. Good to have technicians that are able to service these modern day but not so dependable appliances. Whatever you do, don't use the self-cleaning option on these stoves as it will overheat. Had to get a new control panel as well as a thermostat. The fancy diagnostic app showed an F9 error code and further diagnosis was a heater malfunction. Best to have a technician actually diagnose the issue. Finally after 3 weeks, I will be able to use the stove again.
