Power Fail Issue not resolved
Didn't do anything to resolve issue. He keep blaming it on the heat wave and Con Edison ask in the summer for customers to try to use less energy. However this issue has nothing to do with Con Edison customer usage and heat wave. I have the same issue after I unplugged and replig the dryer dash board still do not respond to pressed buttons. When I do manage to get the PF cleared once it shows up the dryer runs for about five minutes than PF appears again. He just looked for issues. amy socket not carrying a lot of load. it's isolated to ensure there not a lot of load where my dryer and washer is plugged in.

Disappointed
When the tech walked in, he was on the phone with another client, who was clearly upset because I could hear how loud the client's voice was- so obviously upset about the lack of good service from Sears Home Services-that client had in fact cancelled and gone with a different company because of how poor the service with Sears is...anyway, the tech replaced the part in my ice maker fridge, but was clearly in a hurry to move on, left dirty fingerprints all over my freezer, rushed me when I wanted to clean the floor while the fridge was pulled out from the wall, and then didn't want to wait when I asked to make sure the freezer door would not start leaking. He also said it was going to take hours before ice would start dropping, so I had no choice but to take his word. When I asked him what do I do if it starts leaking again, he said I have to call back in to the regular number. He clearly did not care, or was having a bad day....and ....Well....my ice machine is STILL NOT MAKING ICE.

Wrong parts two times
Sears shipped the wrong parts two times. Could not install part to fix ice makes in refer. Used old existing part. Matthew was a good technician.

Refrigerator repair
Repair appointment was rescheduled 3 times after the initial assessment. Once no one showed up; the second time the technician said that he was not given enough time to do the repair and the third time the technician came but said he could not replace the parts that were ordered by the technician who do the assessment as he felt they did not need replacement. He did some adjustments but the refrigerator is making noises that it was not making before. He said to just watch and call again if the temperature goes down again. I hope that does not mean another fee and another long wait.

Did not do anything but call his regional manager.
Refrigerator First stopped cooling 11/4/2023. Parts since then 11/6/2023 added-Compressor, Condenser, Evaporator. 5/28/2024 Added Freon. 6/7/2024 Installed new circuit board and added Freon. 6/17/2024 replaced copper Drier and added Freon and vacuumed system, 6/24/2024 called as not cooling again Fridge 50 degrees and freezer 20 Degrees. Tech arrived 6/25/2024 Told him what has been happening and that I wanted a replacement or payment to help purchase a new Fridge, he called his Regional Manager and was told I would have to call Sears Home Services as I have ordered a new Fridge that was due in Thursday 6/27/2024. How long does Sears expect a customer to go without a working Fridge????!!!!!

Refrigerator repair
#1 the price I paid for a two hour repair was outrageous! I will never use your services again. #2 your repair technician was on the verge of rudeness during his visit. #3 the ice maker still did not function after he left I repaired it myself after fiddling with Utube and figuring out a method #4 this repair was under 10 year warranty and your price was outrageous for labor charge.

Communication / system failure......
The Sears computer information system is either broken, or does not exist. I had a service technician come for a 3rd visit, only to again find out that they have no capability to review what the prior / previous technicians found / work performed / parts replaced. This is the 21st century, with unlimited access to information / files / electronic information. This is crazy, and unacceptable in todays' times of technology. He was unable to quickly identify area of water leakage from the washing machine, so off I go to more water on the floor every cycle. It's only partly his fault....if he had the information / service history from the past 2 visits, it would have helped him significantly. Sears, you need to up your game. This is just the basics. From having ( brand new) damaged repair parts delivered for installation, to technicians having to basically guess what the prior technician did / did not do;.....either step up your game, or step aside and get out of the repair business. I spent more time on the telephone repeatedly saying "no" to the agent's repeated attempts to sell additional products to me than actually scheduling the repair I was in need of. Sears seems to have lost their focus of customer service.......at least the Sears I used to know.

Meddling svc due to poor management
Technician arrived 2 hours later than the initial 4 hour window. Despite my providing information on the website, it was clear neither he nor anyone had reviewed it. Technician arrived totally unprepared. Diagnostic cash grab only.

Not thorough
This guy had my fiancée pull the fridge out for him, told HIM to turn our water off, cut a hose on the back that he thought was leaking, put it back, then left. The leak has continued and we need another service visit. Not impressed. Do they understand that we have to take time away from our jobs to attend these visits? Why is my fiancée having to do manual and mechanical labor when we're paying?

Inappropriate
I cancelled the service through Choice warranty by telephone, email and text. Nontheless Wayne arrived and asked me to come outside to sign papers. He commented on my appearance that I looked good and at a later point asked me to turn around for him. I said "Do you thInk you should be making comments like that when you're on duty?" I kept my back away from him and never turned around. I put his truck info in my phone because I was scared. He knows where I live and I don't want him to loose his job because I don't want him showing up here angry. My children's father and next door neighbor are cops so I told them as well as a few other neighbors and my boyfriend. I watched over my shoulder for a week or more.
