My garbage disposal died. I filled a claim. The technician came out and informed me that he had to call the office since they typically don't service that brand. I told him to replace it with one that they service. He said he can't do that. Now my disposal still doesn't work, my sink is still backed up and I have to wait 24-72 (business) hours to get a response. Not happy!

Orla was very friendly and nice but I am a bit disappointed by how Sears schedules appointments and hoping they improve their system in the near future. I was originally told that the technician will arrive around 7:38am to 8:30am. He did not arrive until around 11:40am. Today, I have another Sears appt with an 8-12 window and it's now almost 1pm, still no technician and the status online says it's now going to be around 2:30-3:15pm. Sigh.

I'm not happy with customer service at all ad the way they treat their customers, and the time they waste not only to the customers but the time they wasted sending out technicians twice in or to order a replacement for our broken Garbage Disposal. They don't keep in touch with you after the service, and don't follow through with their promises. However Roosevelt, the Technician was very nice and helpful.

He was relatively quick to discover what I had already told him in person and on the call when I scheduled. My concern is why didn't he have the replacement disposal with him? Now I have to wait another 2-5 days to get an appointment and waste another day (8-5) waiting for a repair person to install a new garbage disposal that we both knew I needed before the repair man came to my house. Why do you bother getting information about the problem and type of garbage disposal if you aren't going to use it to cut down the customer's loss of time and an additional trip on the repair person's part? Extremely inefficient for the customer and repair person.

Service tech was good but the part ordered was not the correct part. Have to order the replacement myself, Sears doesn't carry it, if I use the one Sears supplied, I'd have to have a plumber do work first.
