Took over 2 months to replace the icemaker in my freezer. Still does not make ice!

Horrible Customer Service

I scheduled an 8am-12pm service appointment. Sears over scheduled the technician so there was no way he could ever make it in that window. When I called Sears to ask if they were going to reimburse me for the 1/2 day off because the technician didn't show up until 130pm, the service coordinator wanted me to reschedule. Why, so I could waste another 1/2 day of vacation. The Technician Tim was phenomenal. He explained everything and went out of this way to be pleasant and understanding.

Freezer repair

He was very aggressive, accusatory and rude -saying I was "demanding" to have the gasket on my freezer changed, and he claimed the problem was that I need to defrost the freezer.( even though there was NO frost near the lid !!) He seemed to not understand that I am the PAYING CUSTOMER and should be spoken to courteously…. I would like to speak with someone about this issue.

Freezer repair.

tech never showed up. I took the afternoon off work to handle this and lost 5 hours pay plus the rest of the meat in the freezer. This was my first call to Choice Home Warranty and I'm not pleased.

Bad results

Not sure if he dropped the ball or if it was the wrong gasket for the freezer. The issue is worse now than before he repaired it. Approximately a quarter inch gap on top of the freezer with cold air flowing out! I used a towel to try to stop the air leak

The claim was initiated 5/15/2024 and again reported as original claim was closed by warranty in error. Claim number AV02818MXW. there as been several calls as a customer to resolve and have had nothing but the run around. It is now over 2 months later and still not working. This is truly unacceptable and difficult to understand how this is acceptable to your company. We have requested expedited parts and service and have not been able to have anyone do so or make a priority. This should be resolved immediately or replaced unit. Two months is truly unbelievable. How can anyone expect people to not have a refrigerator/freezer for this extended period.
