Technician was courteous. professional and on time. He was able to diagnose the problem. We declined the repair because the cost of the part was close to the price of a new freezer.

Duluth, GAFreezer Issue
I have an appliance repair contract w Sears for all my home appliances. I called for a feeezer repair request because we noticed our ice cream consistency has been soft. They scheduled me for a repair 3 wks out. I asked to be put on the list should any cancellations occur. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a text yesterday informing me of an opening for today so I rearranged my schedule to accommodate the repair appt. Vinny arrived at 1:15, assesed the situation and checked everything out. He couldn't replicate the problem as he checked the ice cream and it was frozen solid. He suggested since my freezer was very full it could be possible that at times maybe the door wasnt closed properly and it could possibly pop open since it was so full. So...we are going to double check each time we access it that it is solidly closed and in addition to defrosting it, we are going to use the lock on the door in the future and if, by chance, it does pop open, locking it should help keep it securely closed.
