Horrible phone service! All AI . No real people to talk to. No way to resolve issues. In person tech was good but can’t make up for the god awful experience I had on the phone!

Had a small leak in the drain hose of my washer. Made an appointment alright on the website. Technician came and looked at the washer. He easily found the small leak in the drain hose and went to go look for the part. He then quoted me $140 for the drain hose, $299 plus for labor and at least a couple days before it would be fixed. Altogether my total would’ve been $475 plus tax he said. I was actually dumbfounded at that price seeing as it was a simple hose replacement. After some questions I asked he showed me the part online if I wanted to buy it myself on Amazon for $70… why they were gonna charge me $140 just on the part I'll never know. He then said if I purchased the part he would have to still charge me $129 for today and I'd pay the $299 when the part comes and he comes out again… I declined service and unfortunately had to pay $129 for nothing… I googled the first washer repair person in my area and got ahold of a nice older man who went ahead and called his guy in Chicago for the part to get here in 2 days and charged me $50 for the hose itself and then said he only charges $70 an hour for repair and the hose is simple to replace so he'd only need an hour. So $120 for parts/repair and he'd be there Monday to do it (2 days). Very kind man and genuinely helped my issue and didn’t overcharge me. My advice is to literally shop around anywhere and I’m positive you will find a better, cheaper, quicker service. Never will call sears again.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Communication leading up to the appointment is nonexistent. If you try calling the customer service number, all you get is AI response, no humans to speak with. We had an appointment scheduled for last week for dishwasher repair — we were given an 8am-5pm time frame, but morning of the appointment was updated with 9:45am time. We ran out to the store down the road around 9am, and by 9:30am I had gotten not a phone call or text, but an email with a photo of our front door attached saying “sorry we missed you, please call the phone number left in your voice message to reschedule”. There was no voice message left. Rubio was our technician. Despite what the website says, we received no call or text to say the technician was on his way, and the online tracker where you are able to see if the technician is close stopped working. We had another appointment scheduled a week later, and the time of arrival continued to get pushed back. Luckily David did show up and helped us fix our problem. We are very appreciative of David’s communication — he called when he was 10 minutes away to make sure we were ready for the appointment. We were told that on his end, it shows that technicians had attempted 5 times to complete the service call—which is absolutely not true. We had been home the entire day for both appointments despite the 20 minutes we missed our first appointment. Overall, once the technician got here it worked out, but leading up to it we had terrible customer service. Unfortunately, we are tied into the home warranty program for an entire year, but as soon as that year is up we are cancelling. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Would give no stars if I could. Tech seemed annoyed from the first minute. Kept mispronouncing the dishwasher brand. Not a good sign. Finally came and said “ I can’t order the valve I think it needs. It may just be frozen. But let me show you how to get it out from under the counter.” Like WE were gonna fix it??? (It was during historic cold weather ) Told us to call the appliance store. That’s it. No solution, no information, didn’t care. $129 down the drain. Worst communicator ever. Atrocious personal hygiene. Oh and making the appt with the AI scheduler who kept telling me my address wasn’t what I told her/it it was? Forget it. Sears Home Services are the worst.

The scheduling system barely works. Despite repeated attempts to leave information, the computer system would not accept it beyond basic information and told me there was an error. There is no way to talk to human. I got an appointment for next day. Next day comes, I watched my appointment get pushed back later and later until I got a call...a sales call for their warranty, but she assured me my tech was on his way. He wasn't. He called 1/2 an hour later and told me he wasn't going to make it. Absolutely ridiculous. They completely wasted my time. I will not use again.

Technician came unprepared. Diagnosed my heating element broken but didn’t carry the part on the truck because he was “using someone else’s truck who didn’t work on dryers because his was in the shop” said he could order the part and be back in 5 days to repair it for the low low cost of $480. Or I had to pay the $130 diagnosing fee. Sears has no way to reach out to them directly. No one should have to pay a service fee if the tech knowingly and admittedly shows up not prepared for the 1st time repair.

The technicians seem ok, but customer service wise it's terrible. The 8 hour arrival window is ridiculous, especially since there's no phone number to talk to an actual human to narrow that down. I'm only using Sears again because I have a home warranty Edit: the number listed in your reply is for your dead end automated line which frustrated me enough to leave this 1 star review in the first place
