My repairman was pleasant fast and effective. I really cannot say that about the Sears service experience however. I set up an appointment for Tuesday last Monday. They tell you your appointment is for any time between 8 and 5. Halfway through Tuesday they unilaterally moved it to Thursday. Not great but okay. So I wait all day on Thursday for them to show up. At 3 pm I decided to try to call and see if they were really coming. I found there is NO WAY one could actually talk to someone and no way to do anything except cancel the visit or reschedule it. They offered alternative ways to contact them, but they all ended with the same option to cancel or reschedule. At that time, I discovered that despite my receiving an email and a text say that they would indeed be coming out on Thursday, the website claimed my appointment had been moved to Friday. No notice on Sears’ part. I’m sorry, never again will I call Sears for appliance repairs.

Scheduled and cancelled twice on the day of the appointment telling me that the technician that serviced my area no longer services the area. Same exact reason both times. I immediately fired them from the job. Refrigerator has been down for over 2 weeks! No emergency service offered, no help whatsoever. Do not trust as I wasted 2 days of vacation. Technician will show between 8 and 5 are you kidding me? They are a waste of time and $$ will never use the service again.

*** PLEASE DO NOT USE CHOICES WARRANTY*** Choices Warranty used Sears technician.These technician have us wait from 0800-1700 and did not show up or called *2. We called Sears to report our concerns and they told us to call Choice due to the contract, so we did... endure that painful process of getting a person. There rep told us our appointment will be rescheduled to their " retail contractor" , but could not give us a time when the contractor will come to our house. We were also told if we don't hear from the " retail contractor" in 24hrs we should call back. We called back after 24 hours and was told it was the "weekend" so we should wait until Monday. See below "CHW Technician has set an appointment for your claim. Appointment Date: Monday July 15th, 2024 Appointment Time: 03:00 PM -08:00 PM" The independent contractor reach out to us and set an appointment, but did not call or show about. After 8PM we called the CHW and they apologized and rescheduled for 7/16/24. About 9AM, they called us and said to the effects we are not taking this job because Choice Warranty don't pay. As a result, I take out the blower motor and fan then order new parts.( See below). Today, 7/25/24 a sear technician showed up, but would not do anything because I opened the unit. After waiting over 2 weeks for the appointment scheduled thru Choice Home Warranty, the technician showed up, took a few photos of the AC unit ( new from last year), and stated that if the AC is tripping the circuit breaker, it MUST be a bad compressor. He did not bother going inside the building, turning the unit on, checking the power supply, checking the circuit breaker, checking the control panel, or checking the thermostats. Given the inadequate and less than competent assumption,,the warranty company denied my claim. Please make sure to refund my deductible which by the way he insisted on collecting upfront “because some people don’t pay” now I can see why, I wouldn’t have paid either

I called the main number for Sears Home Repair. Someone with a 414 (Milwaukee) area code called me for my service. I could only schedule someone on Tuesday. They email me 5 times and text me 10 in the weeks' time I have to wait for someone to come out. They ask you to upload your appliance information, so they have the product on the truck. They show up, (8 to 5 is your appointment time), it was 4:20 p.m. when they finally arrived. He proceeds to take my dryer apart (after uploading a photo of the tag inside of my dryer) and tells me that he doesn't have the "very common part" (his words) on his truck and he cannot fix my dyer until NEXT WEEK THURSDAY. They have to ship the part directly to my house. If I wasn't already invested in the $120 just show up and say hi, I would have never agreed to any of it. Total to fix a $50 part is $355. Never again! Avoid!
