Overall service was good. I did not receive a call from the Technician prior to him coming. However, when he arrived, he was courteous and professional. He determined what he thought the issue was with my washing machine, however the estimate to repair was over $740 with NO guarantee that it would fix it!. I could buy a new washer for that price! I appreciated his honesty. I had to pay $125 for a 30 minute diagnostic & sadly, still have no washing machine. The washer wasn't even 10 years old. I would have given 4 stars, but having to do everything, including phones calls through an AI dummy, no call prior to coming, & a steep diagnostic charge, gave it 3 stars. The technician deserved 5 stars.

Not friendly but not rude either, lacking serious communication skills, had to ask what was wrong and the response was "wrong gas and bad thermocouple " Unimpressed.

Technician = 5 stars Sears repair experience = 0 stars Started with only being able to get an AI bot. The bot even said humans aren’t available. Found another number and a human. They could have told me the estimated repair cost would be more than a new appliance. Instead, all they wanted to talk about was their warranty nonsense. Spent $125 for tech to tell me repair =$954. New = $1100. Gave it 2 stars so that people might not just disregard review as a 1 star.

I asked the tech if the problem was really fixed and he assured me it was and he said he stands by his work. Just hours later it has stopped working again. Now I have to be uncomfortable again til someone can come back and after Monday I will not be able to be home for the technician.

Had sears home services come to fix my gas dryer,technician was not even here an hour and charged me 300.00 for labor. REALLY??????

Our service person was helpful and nice. However, I won't use Sears again. We had our washer/dryer serviced for maintenance three weeks ago and our dryer just stopped working. Called service and had to replace a thermal fuse. Spent $150 on maintenance and then $350 to fix our dryer three weeks later. They do have a 30-day coverage of repairs but apparently not maintenance. And $350 for a fuse? Nothing but scam artists.

My repairman was pleasant fast and effective. I really cannot say that about the Sears service experience however. I set up an appointment for Tuesday last Monday. They tell you your appointment is for any time between 8 and 5. Halfway through Tuesday they unilaterally moved it to Thursday. Not great but okay. So I wait all day on Thursday for them to show up. At 3 pm I decided to try to call and see if they were really coming. I found there is NO WAY one could actually talk to someone and no way to do anything except cancel the visit or reschedule it. They offered alternative ways to contact them, but they all ended with the same option to cancel or reschedule. At that time, I discovered that despite my receiving an email and a text say that they would indeed be coming out on Thursday, the website claimed my appointment had been moved to Friday. No notice on Sears’ part. I’m sorry, never again will I call Sears for appliance repairs.

Scheduled and cancelled twice on the day of the appointment telling me that the technician that serviced my area no longer services the area. Same exact reason both times. I immediately fired them from the job. Refrigerator has been down for over 2 weeks! No emergency service offered, no help whatsoever. Do not trust as I wasted 2 days of vacation. Technician will show between 8 and 5 are you kidding me? They are a waste of time and $$ will never use the service again.
