Scott arrived on time after calling me when en route. He identified the issue relatively quickly, or at least, his guess is as good as mine, and the bottom line remains the same. For a service call to just have it confirmed that the appliance is pretty much shot I found it rather costly. Especially since not a single screw or bolt was turned and no fancy diagnostic tool applied.

Tom made the diagnosis and went over options. Unfortunately once he left I would have to pay for another service call at 50% off the $139.00 and wait for another appt. to have the machine repaired. If I had made the decision while Tom was at the house that money would have gone towards a repair. I did not find information about a possible second visit and the dollar amount that would go towards the repair. It would have been helpful to have this information before Tom walked out the door. I think that there should be a 24 hour grace period to decide.
