Jeffrey arrived, diagnosed the problem and went right to the repair. I had spoken to a Maytag rep who led me to believe that the lid lock relay was at fault. I ordered this and Jeffrey installed and tested it. Unfortunately, he found failures beyond the relay and gave me an estimate of a total repair. We declined and decided to replace the washer. Jeffrey gave us a diagnostic bill of 99.00 that I appreciated.
