The technician struggled to diagnose the issue. We knew it was a leak coming from somewhere on or under the dishwasher, but he didn’t believe it until I pointed out the water spot on the floor under the dishwasher to him, after he told us that it definitely wasn’t leaking. And after he left, we had to re-attach the dishwasher to the counter ourselves because it was re-installed crooked by the technician.

Our LG refrigerator stopped making ice. No one in Blacksburg, VA serviced LG appliances except Sears Appliance Repair located somewhere in West Virginia . I thought this was a good brand, BUT it is not. Our refrigerator was less than 2 years old . So, since no one else was available, we scheduled Sears Appliance repair to come. It took 3 weeks to schedule an appointment, they came, said fan wasn't working. We scheduled a time for them to come and replace fan, they came, but didn't bring fan! Excuse was the truck had broken and fan wasn't moved to new truck. Had to reschedule 2+ weeks later. Finally they came today, with new fan, and ice is being made. I will never buy LG appliances again and will certainly NEVER use Sears Appliances again.

The technician was great. The problem is that you give a time frame from 8-5, and the technician showed up at 5:10 pm. I loss a whole day waiting for the visit. Please make sure that in addition to offering a good service, you have respect for other peoples time.

This is NOT a company you want to work with if you live in a rural area. I can't remember exactly how many times (MANY!!) our appointment was cancelled with no explanation. When you have to take time off from work or otherwise give up you day to wait for a repair, this is super frustrating. The company sends way to many emails and texts ('you have an appointment in 3 days, you have an appointment in 2 days, the technician will be there tomorrow, the technician will be there today between 8 and 5, sorry your appointment is cancelled and you can reschedule for next week, etc'). When the technician did arrive, he seemed very knowledgeable but still mis-diagnosed the problem at first. Finally he was able to complete the repair and my stove appears to be working correctly, at last.

He screwed the box back on the fridge but we still can’t use the water or crushed ice. This company is starting to be BS. Been waiting on an oven since October of 2024. Keep getting the run around.

First appointment was set for 10/29/24 Second appointment reset for 11/7/24 Third appointment rescheduled for 11/12/24 Forth appointment rescheduled for11/14/24 Fifth appointment rescheduled back to 11/12/24 Sixth appointment rescheduled for 11/21/24 Seventh appointment rescheduled for 11/26/24. First excuse we just ordered your parts day of first appointment Second excuse waiting on your parts (I tell them parts came the day after you ordered) their reply Oh I see. Third, fourth, fifth, sixth excuse (automated call, for unforeseen circumstances your appointment has been rescheduled.) Made many calls to Cinch home warranty where the service was set thru. They have no idea why Sears Home Services is rescheduling my appointments. First lie they are waiting on your parts. My response was no I have the parts they were delivered the day after the appointment was rescheduled and they know this because I informed them of it. Oh we are waiting for three boxes. My response ALL THREE BOXES ARE HERE. Not until I told them they were being sued by me and I had all the text messages they had sent and phone records of were they called to cancel the appointment do I not get the last date 11/26 and the technician actually showed up. The technician was great the customer service SUCKS GREATLY IF THIS IS HOW SEARS HOME SERVICES DOES CUSTOMERS THEY NEED TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS LIKE THE RETAIL STORES DID. The phone, text, and email communication is extreme frustrating. There is a hyperactive AI bot somewhere sending me 10 texts informing me I can move up my repair but when I go to the supplied link there is no way to change the date. I can only confirm it or move it later. I tried to get a human on the phone but I think there are no humans, I’ve tried every possible option in the phone tree related to appliance repairs. It just automatically confirms my appointment on the original date. The bright side is our technician was very nice and quick for diagnosing the problem. The dishwasher part has arrived but I’m waiting for the unchangeable repair date to come. Not very pleased with the price either. Over $400 to replace a $40 part. I won’t ever be using this service again and would recommend others to steer clear.
