The technician, William, was prompt, friendly, and professional. No issues there. The main issue I had was with the fact that the part needed to repair the appliance was no longer made. The freezer was bought 2-3 years ago, so it isn't too incredibly old. I provided the model number and serial number of the unit, so I feel I should be informed prior to the visit that the appliance may not be able to be repaired if the part needed was one of the discontinued units. I had already troubleshot the issue and narrowed it down to the compressor or main board. Since the main PCB was faulty, I'm left paying for the visit and the freezer is still not working. I wasn't aware that this outcome was even a possibility. That said, the overall experience wasn't terrible, which is why Im not leaving one star. Setting up the appointment was easy, there was plenty of communication (automated) from the company, and the technician experience was positive. More transparency about discontinued units should be divulge so that informed decisions can be made by the consumer.
