The service tech was fine. My rating is based off of the extremely poor scheduling and communication on the part of the management. This was the worst customer experience I have ever dealt with. I have been trying to get this fixed since May… it is now Novemeber. Parts where not shipped to me but were said that they were… the next parts sent were faulty and didn’t work. The third set of parts worked but then it took four months and six rescheduled appointments for the tech to actuall show up to my house. Every time I would call I would get transferred to an Indian call center and would not get any answers. This was the worst treatment.

My experience was truly bad. Assigned by American Home Shield, they came to fix the Ice Maker of my Whirlpool refrigerator WITHOUT SUCCESS in the term of 4 months, 6 visits plus 1 no-show but also did not inform that they would not come. The frustration and anger for the unsolved problem plus all the inconveniences of organizing the day to receive them, accommodating our work, etc. Added to the impossibility of communicating with a person. On one of the occasions the technician left announcing that it was solved. An hour after he left, water began to come out, literally water from the ice maker as if it were a faucet. I tried to talk to someone, but NOTHING. Another company came and in just 1 visit managed to find the solution effectively (Appliance Authority, Aaron)

Really disappointed with Sears Home Service. (I wouldn’t had chosen this company to begin with but because the parts were still under manufacturer’s warranty, Sears would not send the parts unless I had Sears Home Service do the repair.) After 4 months, 7 visits from a technician, 2 no-show appointments and over $550, they still couldn’t fix my 4 yr old refrigerator. Frustrated, I finally hired an authorized technician from another company and he found that the technician from SHS had installed each of two compressors wrong that caused oil to back up into the condenser and drier which ruined them as well as ruining the new compressors. The second company was able to fix the refrigerator in less than an hour as soon as the replacement parts were received which took just 3 days, compared to the 10-14 days that Sears took. Because of the poor job that SHS did that ruined three major components, it costs me over $1000 in parts and labor to get a working unit. Now, I am trying to get SHS to refund the labor costs that I paid, but, as has been the case over the four month ordeal, no one will return my calls or respond in any way. I recommend that anyone considering Sears Home Service to reconsider. I wish that I had seen the hundreds of negative reviews before agreeing to schedule them.

Repairman never showed or contacted to say he couldn’t make it. Even called to confirm that we were on the books for dishwasher repair.

I’ve been trying get someone to come check out my refrigerator and been 2 weeks and they took deposits and nobody show up and every time I call they keep don’t give me an answer or reschedule Sears are scammer they don’t help you with anything only take your money
