The technician fail to inform Choice Home Warranty of the reason for the leaks was poor installation by Choice Home Warranties own installation causing my claim to be denied.

Save yourself over $100 for a Sears technician to come to your home to diagnose a problem, if your appliance is more than 7 years old. The manufacturers no longer make replacement parts for appliances more that 7 years old and the technician will tell you they can't help you, yet charge you up to $150 to come out. The Sears technician who came to diagnose my mother's Kenmore refrigerator (refrigerator stopped cooling, but freezer's still working) told me it needs a new evaporator fan motor. He showed me on his phone, that the manufacturer no longer makes the part & that he can't help me. My mom needs to buy a new refrigerator. He told me that manufacturers now stop making replacement parts for appliances older than 7 years, so people will buy new appliances, instead of repairing older ones. He then had the nerve to try to sell my mother a Sears protection plan to cover other appliances in her home. I replied, "Why on earth would she pay $80/month, when you just told us, if an appliance is 6 yrs or older, the manufacturers don't make the parts anymore& you won't be able to fix it? That's foolish!"🤦🏻‍♀️ He then asked for his money & made a personal call in my mom's kitchen. I said,"Are we done here?" to where he told the person on the phone, he'd call them right back, then left. I looked up the Model # & was able to find a compatible motor on eBay for under $40, ordered it & installed it myself, ( I'm a 59 yr old female with no experience, and I did it!) following a Youtube tutorial. It's been working great ever since. I wish I would searched Youtube 1st, but I'm here from Florida, caring for my 89 year old mother with Stage 3 dementia & it was very stressful day. I Thank God I had plenty of frozen meals to keep her well fed for the week. REPLY TO SEARS APPLIANCE REPAIR- I've tried countless times to get in touch with you, but your system is AI now. It's frustrating hitting wall after wall trying to get help or speak to a real human. It's impossible.

Technician installed part that were order and left didn't even check if the washer was working which I didn't and on he's report he put that he fixed the washer

Very disappointed, the service technician after reviewing my air con issue. Determined that the issue with the air con did not cover the issue per my plan. The technician didn’t even make an effort to ask if we were will to pay for the repair out of pocket which I would have done to have my air con up and running. Per the claim authorization personnel when I call them to complain about the technician not making an effort to complete the work with or without warranty. The CA stated that the technician that they had to decline my service. So now I had to look for a new air con technician after pay $100 deductible. I feel very strongly that if someone has an air conditioner issue. A qualified technician should be about to repair any issue if not then they should contact the warranty office and find someone that can do the job. The first thing the technician should have do is to ask if the owner want the job completed under the owners own out of pocket billing. Not waste time getting the owner to call the warranty department and try to work it out and the warranty department asking to the owner to find someone to fix the issue of the air con that the technician couldn’t repair because it was not under warranty. I have had the same issue with the same technician twice. What is the warranty for, to help the client solve the issue. Not make the issue bigger. I had to pay a local air con technician to fix my issue. He ended up up changing a small Freon cylinder outside and and Freon and the issue was fix. So I paid the warranty department to fix and help with any issues. They did not, I had to handle the issue my self.

Don’t use they service, they will send you a technician out for 2 minutes of work, and give you an estimate that cost 80% of the brand new machine. If you don’t want to repair all you have to do is pay them $119.00 + taxes. The price to repair is not reasonable.

Bad service BEWARE! Arrived at my house to repair my Whirlpool refrigerator and the very first thing the tech. tried to do was to sell me a Home Warranty for $60 a month. I responded that I needed my Fridge. repaired and that he had been our of service for about 2 weeks. He did not say what he was going to do but began working and after about an hour he told me that he found the bad part and that it would cost $609 for the repair and that he would not be able to come back until 4 weeks later. I declined the offer and he made me sign a form saying that I declined the repair estimate. "If you decline this you must sign here, and if you change your mind it cost you EVEN MORE" he said. Like a used car dealer pressures a customer. I later bought part myself for half the price and had it installed I did not pay $609$.

Usually very good. But it takes an act of God to talk to someone over the phone. I canceled them because they did not cover the freezer side of my combo refrigerator/freezer set after they sold me a policy that they said would. I switched to choice warranty instead.
