No documentation. No way to reach a live person.
This technician was sent out based on a home warranty claim. He diagnosed the problem and said I needed a part, and that he would return after it was approved under the home warranty. The part was denied by the warranty company and I was left with no way to contact the technician and no documentation about what he found. At the very least, I should've been given a written report of the issue he found. Further, on contacting Sears Home Services, I found there is literally no way to reach a live person. The automated line tells you bluntly that there is no way to reach a live person. This technician may do fine work -- I don't know as I was given no documentation of what he did -- but, based on the inability to talk to a live person, I'd recommend looking for another service provider.
Michael S,
Memphis, TNbad service support for Sears technicians
all Marques had to do was put in an ice bin and make sure it was working correctly which only took a few minutes. My refrigerator was under an MA but it came up with a charge for me. Marques did not know how to correct that, nor, did he have a phone # to call to talk with a "live" person to advise him. It took about 45 minutes to get it straightened out! Also had to stay home 3 days before a tech came!!!!
Ann G,
Millington, TNNo work done
I was asked to sign a waiver, absolving Sears of all liability for any potential damage to my new wood floors. I would not sign so the technician could not do any work. Original notification said he'd be here at 7:30 in the morning and he arrived at 3 PM. He was not rude and just stated the facts, but I was not prepared to accept those terms. Our wood floors are 4 months old. He was going to drag the washing machine out of the laundry closet using hard plexi glass that would damage the floor.
Connie K,
Memphis, TNNew Problem
My disposal was fine yesterday, but I just tried it for the first time since you came to fix my dishwasher today, and something is wrong with it. It's making a loud noise and something seems loose in it.

Not that great of a service. And I don't think it's all his fault.

Memphis, TNTechnician was great
William let me know when he was coming. He told me what was wrong and ordered the part. However, I didn't get a call about arrival on the appointment day. He never came. Your office assistant is terrible. I wanted to get info on when I could expect him back. Reaching a person was nearly impossible. When we did, the foreign lady was apparently at home with many children screaming in the background. I won't use your services again, even though William was super.
Tresa L,
Memphis, TNNot enough man power for the work orders received
They day of assigned repair the phone rang twice then when unable to answer ( not even knowing it was Sears) was kicked down the list like an old tin can. Called the office iand was lied to because receptionist told me repairman would still be coming that day. He never came. The next morning waited till 4:45 pm for him to arrive not knowing when he would arrive. He threw to old parts in my garbage can and didn't properly close the lid ( it was still open. Not impressed with Sears Home Repair. However the fridge he repaired is working well.

The technician was very professional but was not familiar with my system.
Sallie J,
Tyronza, ARAlready made a decision that the Compressor ?
I felt that Christopher made a decision that the compressor was bad before checking it out thoroughly. He said that the compressor had a defect that made them go out however the labor made it to costly to fix. If Sears won't stand behind a product that only has a five year life expectancy no wonder they went out of business. And as for the service with the name Sears on it I won't be calling them anymore. Thanks for letting me voice my concerns.
Michael R,
Millington, TNDid not even try to troubleshoot before giving up
Mr. Gregory showed up and sit inside his truck between the two properties, I let him know that it was my house he should be at, and he informed me that he was doing paperwork and would be in shortly. When he came in like he was already done for the day. When took him to the units and he looked at the easy start's mounted on the outer cover of the unit; he didn't go any farther said in 50 years he never seen anything like that and walked away. He came back inside to say that Sears don't work on easy starts; I need to get Choice to send someone else to make the repairs. I told him that Sears had sent 2 others before and they got me going. But I understood he was not up for a challenge today.
