Two experienced techs arrived and began their diagnostics after the problem was explained. As fate would have it, no error codes presented themselves and the rinse/spin cycle functioned as it was supposed to. The techs still ran through all their available diagnostics but could not find the cause of the initial problem. Being a retired tech myself, I know how modern proscessors can have glitches that magically disappear, so after discussing it with the techs, we decided to call it repaired. I was satisfied with the outcome and happy to cover their trip/diagnostic charges. I won't hesitate to call again for future problems.
