The scheduling system is terrible having to sit at home between 8am - 5pm not knowing what time they coming also everything is Ai you can’t talk to one single person took a whole month to fix my problems

The technician was pleasant however, was an awkward service call. He asked me if he could close the door so he was in the laundry room alone. So I sat on my stairs for a minute or two and waited. I heard no activity in the room (as I imagined he should be removing the washing machine drum or at least lifting it) then he opened the door and asked “how much are you willing to pay for repairs??” . I then asked him how much it costs….. while he researched and itemized the repair list, I pulled up the cost of a new machine. He said repairs would be close to $850 but then said it would be easy for me to do myself. I informed him a new machine was less than that. He said nothing and then asked if I was going to waive the repair. I waived the repair, paid and off he went. Nothing egregious but I did not have the faith and confidence in his “business dealings”.

The only positive experience with Sears Appliance Repair was the technician who serviced our Appliance. Three scheduled visits were not kept, and untruthful responses were given by the company. Numerous unneeded reminders were sent to the point of distraction.

I had a service technician come to my home on July 9, and the experience was extremely disappointing. He didn’t even inspect my dryer. Instead, he immediately said that he had been to my home a year ago and that I needed a new thermostat. I don’t understand how he could make that diagnosis without even looking at the appliance, especially since the previous visit involved replacing all the wiring. The technician was unprofessional, dismissive, and provided no real service. I paid the $129 service fee and received absolutely nothing of value in return. To make matters worse, when I called customer service, I was connected to an AI system that told me another technician would be sent out. No one ever came. This was a complete waste of my time and money. Based on this experience, I would never use Sears again or recommend their service to anyone.

I have my appliance protection plans with Domestic & General but the repair service is provided by Sears Home Services, I had 2 service calls within the last 30 days for the same problem with my range, I was asked to be home each time from 8:00am-5:00pm by Sears when their technician arrives. On these two occasions no one showed up at all and it didn’t bother them to call and tell me why their technicians could not come or if I can reschedule for another day. Sears even issued a receipt through a tex message saying the repair was completed with my name and my correct home address on the receipt.

If it were possible to give a negative star review I would. But I cannot....so 1-star it is. In my 51 years of life, the process of working with Sears Home Services has been the absolute worst process that I have ever experienced, hands down. Nico came out (who was quite personable)....looked at the code told use we needed a new board. We agreed, ordered it, and prepaid for his services to install it. It felt right do that....had our trust. Big mistake. He then vanished. We received a text from indicating truck failure and that he would come the following week. We wanted to speak with him to find another option. 7 voicemails by me, several by my wife, dozens of texts....absolutely ghosted. If you can send a text, you can return one....and, certainly could actually speak on the phone as well. Of course, all of that is if you wanted to do it. Tried to find a number to call in...there is NO HUMAN involved in any of the Sears Home Services it has moved to 100% AI customer support...which is by far the worst I have ever seen. We felt held at ransom...as we received notices of his arrival from the AI system...and he never came. Had to have my wife and father play the "wait to see if Nico arrives" game for two days. Nothing, no call, no text...nothing. The following Tuesday, he arrives with a coworker....says the part we had ordered was not an OEM, but refurbished and cannot be used. He said that the work hid did do could let us use part of the cooktop, but that we would need to get a new cooktop or replace all the control boards with new ones. He helped to refund the amount we spent on the control board we did buy (still waiting on that refund to hit) and, again, was a very personable individual. BUT if you are actually looking to have clear communication, a trade that arrives when you are supposed to (versus having someone sit around and wait for three days because the system tells you he's coming and he doesn't communicate), and fix the appliance that you are paying to have fixed.....then I would go elsewhere because Sears Home Services is everything BUT.... The good news is that I have everything document which will make small claims court and BBB arbitration a breeze. AVOID....AVOID....AVOID.
