Home warranty claim via AHS led to SEARS repair technician attending to diagnose and then return a week later to fix with parts ordered. Ricky was very pleasant and helpful and arrived in good time. Unfortunately it's unclear if the issue has been resolved as it is possibly a fault with a third party water filter so until that is replaced we won't know for sure! Nevertheless, Ricky has shown me what to do when the new filter arrives to swap out the whole mechanism (as the filter keeps getting stuck!). Only then will we know if we're 100% fixed.

Got an appointment quickly & tech was able to temporarily fix the issue. Need a new dryer vent, which I’m surprised was not something the dryer repair guy could do.
