We didn't have an issue with our technician, Frank. He was pleasant and did his job, no conplaints with hims personally. The cost was outrageous, though. Over $300 for labor on a diagnosis that was less than 20 min and a repair that was less than 20 min. Won't use Sears again.

Pricing is a little outrageous. Our dryer was no longer producing heat. Got a diagnosis and quote, was fixed within 10 minutes, but the cost of labor was almost $300 for 10 minutes of work. Just be aware that it's pricey.

I told the repairman what another company had said. He didn’t the washer apart to look at it. Looked for the part the other company said needed replaced and came back in 5 mins saying they don’t make the part.

My dryer wasn’t getting my clothes dry. We had a company clean the exhaust by blowing out the lines but that didn’t help. The Sears repair man could not determine if the problem was the dryer or exhaust line. He gave me an estimate of $850, stating that the problem COULD be the control board and thermistor. Since i could get a dryer for that price, I declined the offer. I still didn’t know if the problem was the fairly new dryer or the exhaust line. I had to call in a Roofing contractor to find the real problem which was a clogged vent flap. I spent over $800 for the line cleaning, dryer repair man and roofer to unclog a vent line. It could have been double that if I had let the repair man ‘fix’ the perfectly fine dryer. Why doesn’t Sears have the ability to distinguish between a dryer problem and exhaust line problem?

Sears took 2 weeks to come out, with 100F temperatures and still did not fix the AC. We pay bills on time and Sears does not provide timely service ! You cannot talk to anyone in customer service. The technician has the same issue. The technician cannot talk to anyone about the issue to expedite resolution. Horrible service!!!!

Sears scheduled an appointment for Saturday 26th April for my Washer with a tech named Glenn F. The tech was absolutely useless and wanted to just run out of the home he looked at the machine and ran out probably had no clue about how to repair. My appointment was rescheduled to Monday 28th April between 8am-5pm at around 11:10am I was informed the appointment need to be rescheduled and the earliest available appointment is on April 30th. This is really not a good service at all and the choice of Technician is not good at all. Again the appointment on April 30th appointment was cancelled by Technician. This is the 3rd time the Tech was no show. Horrible service from the Technician Glenn F and Sears wasting customers time. The phone number for customer service phone goes outside USA and the customer service has no clue about the Tech and has no idea at all. Just horrible experience overall and there is no place to escalate or report this issue. Will never use Sears Home Services in future as there are better services available

Glenn never called, and then showed up, and claimed that we weren't home, because he couldn't get to the front door due to snow on the front walkway. As soon as sears texted me I went out the garage and he was sitting in our completely clear driveway. He was ready to drive away. I would give him 3 stars cause he cleared the lint on the sensor that gave the alarm. We also paid for a washer preventive maintenance on the washer. He said he just needed to see if it pumped the water out......and then ran out the door. This is not how business should be done.

Terrible experience. Sears sent a technician that repairs refrigerators when I needed washing machine repairs. The man did nothing but try and connect us with a different tech for a week later and charged us $100. Worst company

Overall this was a horrible experience. Scheduled a Sears service appointment for a broken microwave and confirmed the appointment via text and email. The day of the appointment (windows 8 am - 5 pm) the scheduling center called and said the tech couldn’t come (around 1 pm) and that I needed to reschedule. We found time the following week and again the same wide window but this time the tech showed up. He was perfectly pleasant and explained the issues quickly as well as the cost to repair. We agreed to the price and the parts were ordered from Amazon and shipped directly to our home. The itemize bill from Sears included labor costs (which they were transparent about) and the price of the parts, specifically listed as over $300. Not as issue at first, until the Amazon box came with the receipt taped to the part which started it cost $29. We called Sears to explain we were over charged for the price of the part and they said the technician had to adjust the price so again we waited for him to come back, we mentioned the discrepancy and he said he could not adjust all he could do was refund the cost of the parts, still had to pay 250 for labor and he collected the new parts and left us with a broken microwave. The call center keeps passing the call around and the tech said his hands were tied.. if you are going to up charge a part 10 fold you should not ship the receipt to the customer. 100% would never use or recommend this company.
