Sears Home Services has given me the worst customer experience I’ve ever had. After waiting two weeks for a repair appointment for my dishwasher, I was charged $129 just for the diagnostic. Fine, I expected that. But then the problems really started. The day after I booked the appointment, Sears sent me an estimate that included parts they thought were likely needed for the repair. You would think they’d come prepared with those parts on hand, but when the technician (from A&E Factory Service, not even Sears) arrived, he didn’t have them. When I mentioned the estimate I’d received, he brushed it off, saying the parts still needed to be ordered. Since I was already committed to the $129 diagnostic fee, I decided to proceed with the repair, even though the final quote came to $500. I was told I had to prepay the entire amount, even though the repair wouldn’t be done for another two weeks. Then, almost two weeks later, the replacement part was shipped to my house. I was confused about why it was sent to me, but I held on to it, assuming the technician would still arrive for the scheduled appointment. But the day before the repair, I got an email from Sears saying the part hadn’t arrived (even though it had!) and that I needed to reschedule. Every phone number I called only gave me the option to either cancel or reschedule the appointment—there was no option to speak to a human being. I couldn’t even confirm with a customer service rep that they had all the information right. Frustrated, I canceled the appointment because the only option was to wait another two weeks for the repair. I texted the original technician to explain the situation, and he told me that without a new service order, there was nothing he could do. So now I’m stuck with the part, a broken dishwasher, and a $500 charge on my credit card with no real resolution. The technician even told me to just wait for a new technician to come and decide then if I want to repair the dishwasher or ask for a refund—ridiculous! I had to dispute the charge through my credit card company, and honestly, this whole experience feels like a scam. Be warned—if you’re considering using Sears Home Services, don’t. And be cautious with LG and Samsung products too—quality control seems to have taken a nosedive.

Benjamine has been out twice during the 3 weeks my dryer has been out of order. The second time he came out he was running and hot, when I went to use it, there was no heat again, and now it is impossible to get a hold of sears appliance repair to get someone out here to fix my dryer which was a $270 charge according to invoice from sears. PLEASE SEARS COME BACK AND FIX YOUR DRYER....IF YOU CAN NOT FIX IT YOU NEED TO REPLACE IT ACCORDING TO MY C

Honestly, they don't even deserve one start! They canceled my appointment for the fourth time, and when I spokewith Jonel, the last cancelation, he jut said with a very cynical tone of voice" call the insurance".

I am very disappointed in Sears repair service. I had a refrigerator that was not cooling properly. The technician charged $350 and did not fix the problem, in fact it's worse. Sears is now saying they will charge me another $119 to return. I have paid $350 for nothing!

Jonel was great and 5 stars for him and your other technicians. The lack of stars are for your terrible customer service. It is incredibly difficult to connect to anyone who can provide assistance. Chats only sometimes allow me to access a human. Getting the same useless message from a bot who can't even transfer me to someone on a chat who can help me is useless. We have had appointments cancelled without notifying us because someone decided that we hadn't gotten the necessary parts when in fact we had all of them. We have wasted large blocks of time waiting for people who never arrive for appointments, with no explanation offered. If you don't improve your customer service quickly we will not renew our contract with you. I would really appreciate an answer to this with some helpful hints that would allow me to use your system in a productive way.

Although the Technicians that attended were excellent, the appointment & contact system leaves a lot to be desired. My appointment was scheduled for between 1 & 5 pm but at 11:30 that day I got a text notification it had been rescheduled. This was totally unacceptable for me and put me in a bad situation, I tried for 3 hours to connect with a live person but it was impossible due to it being a bot. I searched many phone numbers and they all went to the same automated answering service. Whatever has happened to customer service there are times when being rescheduled just does not work such as having scheduled a day off work to have the appointment cancelled and rescheduled so you have to take another day off, or other things being scheduled around the repair. The lack of respect for a customers time and situation does not sit well with me. I would not recommend or use them again.
