Sean, was late by 25 minutes from the ETA posted in an email I received at 3:06 which said his ETA was 3:21. He arrived at 3:46 and never called to let me know he was running later. The same thing happened when he came on 2-06-2024. When he got to my house, he sat in his van for at least 10 minutes before coming to the door. When I opened it, he said, "Me again. What did CHW say?" I replied that I had an email that stated repairs would be made today. To which he replied, "Not without parts." As he walked away, he added, "I hate these people (CHW)" He sat in his van for 25-30 minutes before I went back outside to ask what was going on. He jumped out of the van and said, "The quote was submitted and is under review" I walked back into the house and watched him sit in my driveway and 8-10 minutes before leaving. His comments and behavior on his two visits to our home were very unprofessional and did not leave me feeling confident in fixing our problem. So, when the repairs are authorized, I would like to have someone else come back to perform the services. For all he knew, I may have actually worked for CHW or even Sears, and his comments would have justified his reprimand or firing. Michael D. Culver

****Update****** 4/23/25 A different technician came out today. He was honest, efficient and fair. He even explained why I was charged $195 instead of the quoted $125. No invoice was provided when I was asked to pay the first time and the tech told me I had to pay more the original quoted service "because my machine was a stackable unit that why is so expensive ". The new tech that came out said, you were charged for a cleaning and maintenence service that I DID NOT AGREE TOO! WHY WOULD I? That machine wasn't working so cleaning and maintenence wasn't needed. Nothing like being charged for something and then lied to about it. An invoice would be nice but the tech said he didn't have one and that I would have to pay the bill over the phone. Which I did. Where are you ethics in business transactions? I tried to call back and talk to human being, as you responded to the original Google review but that option is not possible no matter what prompt you choose. All you get is AI only answer that doesn't resolve anything. Lastly, the new tech did say the machine needs a new wiring harness and the cost to repair would be $1200. Wow, really, okay maybe that's what it cost but seems like a ridiculous repair cost considering the piece for a new one is the same. Needles to say, i bought a new machine an hour after he left for the same price. Thank you the new technician that came today and was fair and more importantly, HONEST. Unfortunately, no fault to him, it doesn't change my review. I want my money back for a service I didn't ask for, had no idea I was paying for it. Let alone if the service was even received. The first tech left me a huge mess to clean up all over my floor and fixed nothing. I would love to actually receive an invoice. Maybe then I could truly dispute the charges incurred. First tech on 4-21 The technician arrived after 5pm, to repair a washer/dryer stackable unit. The dryer quit working. He was here for 3 hours and stated there was an electric issue and washer was working because it only used 110w and the dryer needed 220w. We promptly replaced the fuse and guess what? The dryer worked! BUT now, the washer doesn't work. I'm certain it was not put back together correctly as there was no issue with it before the technician took it all apart. I called to have a tech come back out and was told I must agree to another service charge of $129. Mind you, I was quoted this the first time they came and end up paying $195 and was told it's because it was a stackable unit. Informing that was given beforehand but still told it was error. When they guy left nothing was fixed and now I have a different problem that didn't exist before he arrived. I'm not happy with the service at this point. I'm still waiting to see how the next service call goes. I'll update my review based on how this issue is resolved. -Currently unhappy customer

It has taken 4 months to fix my refrigerator. I had to go buy a new one. I do not trust that he has fixed it. After one part after another. He thinks he has it fixed. He is not sure him self. After 20 minutes it is tripping the gfi circuit. So it is not fixed.

Had a 2.5 year old Whirlpool washing machine. It was flashing a f7 e1 code and wouldnt run. Called, and had a technician come out. He verified the code was correct and told me the control board was bad, and would be $600 to replace. I choose not to have him replace the board. I came home from work, disassembled, the washer and found the speed sensor was bad. Ordered an new one from Amazon for $27, installed it, callibrated it, and it works. Im very busy at work, dont have time to do these kind of things, was hoping he would of actually did more then just check the code and tell me my control board needs replaced. Thats a lazy tech, will not be calling one of these guys again. At least go through the troubleshooting steps from the code, after all, thats what i paid for.
Customer service response - We're very sorry for the frustration and poor communication you've experienced. Please visit searshomeservices.com or call 1-800-469-4663 so we can work on resolving this for you. Thank you for letting us know.

The repairman showed up on time. He was courteous. The problem was not fixed and we were charged over $400.00. We are not pleased.
