When I called to schedule, I asked and Catlin put me on hold and came back and said yes that I did not need to be home, that the technician could enter using the lockbox key (we had just closed on the house and I needed the washer that came with the home). My realtor who has a front loader told me I needed a new gasket and steel braided lines instead of rubber. I told Catlin exactly what I wanted done. Catlin also sold me on having the dryer cleaned of lint and suggested I pay $189 plus $50 for the dryer and then get a credit for the service that was needed. First James the repair person called while I was still on hold with Catlin and then he texted he had 4 stops that day and didn't know if he could make it by 5 but would keep me updated, which he did. The he texted was I home? I told him no there was a lockbox the house is empty. He would NOT go without someone home. I told him that is not what I scheduled and what Catlin had said and told me that he didn't care what Caitlin told me he would not come without someone home. So I stopped what I was doing and scrambled to find someone that could be there as I was at work. Defeated the whole purpose. He kept texting so I arranged to have a friend be there in an hour and half or 3:30pm, however James did not arrive until about 4. Then he refused to replace the rubber lines with steel, he didn't want to replace the gasket it, said it would cost $500 but I got the feeling he it was a big job and he just didn't want to do it. Then he said he doesn't do the dryer vent cleaning. He did call me to discuss and I basically asked what I paid for? Nothing? Could he not service or check the machines out..he said he did, we shall see. So while James was nice and hopefully honest, the whole experience between calling and scheduling and being sold one thing and receiving another was not pleasant and as of right now I would not call Sears again for service.

Service never happened. It takes a super frustrating experience for me to give one start. On the day my HVAC service was scheduled, before he arrives, this service tech guy called and the first thing he wanted was money which I get it. I was trying to explain him problem and told him to complete the service call and i will be happy to pay once done. I told him 3 times that payment is not an issue but this guy was not interested in listening to the problem or providing service at all. All he kept saying was pay me first and then we will see what happens. It didn't seem like he was coming to diagnose the problem, he was coming to just take money and go home. I told him to show up, finish the service, let me know the problem and I will happily pay but apparently once i said that, he didn't want to show up.

Tech did mot make sure dryer was working correctly before he left. No heat because the gas was turned off. Vent not reconnected. Left a mess. Not Sears quality standards. I paid a lot for these units. This is a shame service.

Avery was on time, professional, and went the extra mile in cleaning up around the repair site. I was happy to see him return to install the broken part that was diagnosed at his first visit. After I posted this review, I noticed that the problem with the refrigerator came back. I called Sears who sent a second person out to assess the situation. He looked at everything and said it was fine, even though the problem was still evident. Fast forward a month, I called out a second service to diagnose the issue, and they advised me that one of the electrical boards in my refrigerator was not working properly. Plus, the repair that Sears had made was also not working due to the failure of the printed circuit board. So in hindsight Sears did not diagnose the problem properly and I paid for a needless repair.

Had an absolutely terrible experience with sears fixing my fridge a few months back. The tech that came out charged me $600 for one small part. When I said the price seemed extreme he said “we are the most expensive in town”. Oh thanks, good to know. My fridge still isn’t working right. All the scheduling is chat-bots and ridiculous communication. Do not use Sears- they’re a scam now.

Sears Appliance Repair does not exist at this location. I suspect they have no actual physical addresses. They have call centers which send to your home local independent appliance repair services, not Sears, and not Kenmore. My last call for an appliance repair went to a S.E. Asia call center. The appliance contractor they sent knew nothing about what I needed repaired, didn't know Sear had sent parts to my house, and would not honor the estimate I was given by Sears. Sears said they would schedule another "Sears or Kenmore" appliance repairmen, but nothing has been done. I'm beginning to suspect they are running a scam. They won't get paid a dime from me. Regarding the "owner's" response: (See below) There is nothing at searshomeservices.com to contact anyone. Just sounds good for public consumption, right ? Do you have even 1 physical business address in Las Vegas ?

Doesn’t exist anymore. It’s on Google Maps, even has hours listed, but the one on Grand Canyon is an empty building. The one on Washington is a bustling WinCo grocery store.

My experience with Sears Appliance Repair has been HORRIBLE. It took a total of 8 service calls and 69 days to repair my stovetop. The diagnostic was on January 12th. They finally complete the job today on March 21st. On two separate occasions the technicians never even showed up to my home for their scheduled appointments. One time an employee showed up reeking of Marijuana and clearlung missed the memo to puck up the igniter from the parts wharehouse. Also the original technician who came to my home to do the initial diagnostic didn't order all of the parts to fix my stove. He had to have another employee drive to his home to pick up tools because the tools he had were not sufficient to support fixing my stove. Ray then broke one of my igniters as he was trying to fix my stove with tools that were not compatible with my stove. The service provided was unacceptable and shameful. The customer service support is dismal as well. Evette Ackerson from corporate lacks empathy and refused to have someone from tge leadership team cintact me as I had requested. She would not not provide me with an alternate person for me to contact to discuss finding a resolution. I would NEVER recommend this organization and would encourage others to use another company to fix their appliances. Sears did NOT meet the quality standards that one would expect. The only positive experience was the technician Christian. He was communicative and professional. Instead of attempting to cut costs with how products are shipped, Sears should upgrade shipment of fragile parts in boxes instead of using bubble wrap shipping. This apparently is a known issue and no action was done to rectify the shipping of ignitor parts.
