Service rep who took information did not tell me to keep applicance plugged in during the 6 day wait for service so first service call was wasted. Second scheduled service call was a no show and impossible to talk to a person or get any details on what was happening. The customer interface sucks. (especially with a service window of 8 am to 5 pm--- lost a day of work for nothing) The third call was professional and he ordered parts. The fourth visit was professionally handled and the repair made.

I had a scheduled repair for my range hood, on February 4th 2025. A user interface part was ordered and I prepaid for the part. ($882.56). The part never arrived and the appointment was rescheduled, repeatedly. I waited until March 2025, did my own research and found out that the part ordered was no longer being manufactured and was not available anywhere. I cancelled the repair order, and was told that I would be refunded in 14 to 21 business days. That time has long passed as it is now April 28th, 2025. I have called to inquire about my refund and have been told that it's being looked into. My money was paid in good faith, but where's my refund?

The worst appliance repair company. They have committed fraud by setting over 3 appointments in a span of 3 weeks and 2 of them the technician closed the work order out at the end of day and never showed up. I waited all day for someone to show up both times and get emails that technician has showed up, then immediately getting an estimate that said I approved (which I did not), and then closing the work order like they were here. Called Sears both times and they brushed it off and wanted to re-schedule a 4th time. Asked for a supervisor and still waiting to hear back. I am preparing all the text and email paper trail to send to the Better Business Bureau. This has to be against the law to say you were here servicing my appliance, faking an approval, them closing out ticket like you just did the work.

Called Sears Appliance Repair in WALL TOWNSHIP NJ. I had a noisy Evaporator Motor in the top Freezer portion of my GE Refrigerator/Freezer. The Tech showed up and inspected and said voltage was good and that it was just noisy. He offered to replace the part for 580.00 and also offered me an extended warranty for 50 bucks per month. The part online OEM is 34.00 dollars. He charged me 133.00 dollars for service visit and said I declined service. He did how ever add a dab of grease on motor. An hour after he left the motor started making noise again. I called and was told he would come back. Received call the morning of return visit and was basically told by the boos of service that if I was offered to have motor fixed but declined service. He was willing to come back if I paid 580.00. The Fridge cost 499.00 by the way new. He admitted cost was high but that is what it would take to replace motor and was very un apologetic. These people have to WAKE UP! Doing Business like this no longer flies. It's not 1980. I highly suggest you do not call Sears Appliance Repair.
