I thought David (and his trainee) was great. I was so glad that he had an ignitor with him and the repairs were done timely and efficiently. The men were pleasant and professional. My only criticism was the outrageous labor cost for the services rendered. $300 for less than 1 hour work was crazy. But it was Thanksgiving and glad the oven works. I have to admit, I may be cautious to use in the future. The cost seems exorbitant.

Mark did a very efficient job of repairing our washer. We usually get good service with scheduling the repairs, but this time, Sears canceled our Mark and no one told us. We waited all day for him to come. Later in the evening when I happened to look at my emails, I saw they canceled it and rescheduled us for Sept 3, a full 2 weeks away. We couldn't deal with the washer the way it was working for another 2 weeks, so I called them and delt with the automated system and was able to reschedule for the next day. I'd like to know who canceled our repair and who decided to schedule us for 2 weeks later, when there was an availability the next day.Very poor service in that department I think.

He was a nice guy, but basically charged us $137 to tell us to get a new unit to replace our 3 year-old Fridgedair Heat Pump. He said by looking at the unit that there is a Freon leak, no internal parts are avaliable, would cost $1000 and would not be done, if at all, until late August. This is disgraceful customer satisfaction. I will use this as a case study in my MBA classes on how NOT to serve customers! Gerry Cleaves, Professor of Msnagement

Albert the technician came to complete a service maintenance on our central air conditioning unit, which as described on the Sears Appliance Repair website includes "cleaning the coils to remove dirt and debris." He did not do this. On prior same maintenance service from other companies, the technician has removed the panels on the outside unit and cleaned them. The total service usually takes about an hour. He did not do this and said it was not part of the service. To clean the coils, he just ran a hose over the unit with the panels on. He said he was done with the service job after twenty minutes and I was charged 139.00. He was clearly in a rush and complained about being overworked and having to come from Hoboken to Neptune because of understaffing. He said I could contact Sears, but they would charge me more money for anyone to come back. When I attempted to call Sears the only service responder I got was an AI computer. It said they no longer employ humans. There is no customer service option on the phone or computer website. I am in the process I cancelling the debit card payment. Sears will need to return and finish the job in order to get paid.

I can't rate the technician since I wasn't present at the work location. However, I would not recommend Sears Home Services. They initially came out on May 15th to fix the agitator. All they did was order a new agitator and charge my card over $400 that day. They were scheduled to return on May 20th to install the agitator which was probably a 15 minute job. They never showed up on May 20th and automatically rescheduled for May 23rd but since no one would be home I rescheduled for May 28th. They never showed up on May 28th. On both of the no-shows, they didn't text, email or call to say they would not be showing up. I then rescheduled on May 28th for June 4th. I also notified my CC company and they placed a temporary hold on the payment less the cost of the agitator. That obviously got their attention. They showed up today and installed the new agitator.

I have nothing against the repairman Carl but the Sears warranty company gets a zero for lack of communication in regards to renewals and terms of new plans. Very disappointed and will not renew after this current plan. I ve been a warranty owner for over 20 years through Sears and it’s sad that this part of Sears is going downhill.
