The technician was unable to come to my original appointment (Dec.19th) due to scheduling conflicts. I waited for him to arrive the entire day and did not learn of this until that evening (5:37 PM). The technician did contact me and we arranged for him to contact me the next morning and to try to schedule me in on that day. A new time was scheduled for Dec 20th and Kevin arrived as scheduled. He was very courteous and did complete diagnostic checks on my washer and dryer. He indicated there were no problems with either machine and he left. About an hour and half later, I placed wet laundry in the dryer and turned it on. It made a very strange noise. I immediately turned it off and examined the dryer, discovering the exhaust tube was not contacted to the dryer, making it unusable. This was truly disappointing. I called Kevin and told him of the issue. He did call me back and offered to return later in the day. I explained my husband and I had investigated the issue, saw that tape had come off the tubing. We applied duck tape to the tube. Kevin indicated that he would have done the same thing since there was no clamp on the tubing. I was surprised to learn this since my machines were installed by Sears technicians and I thought the installation had been done properly. My husband and I will be clamping the tubing to ensure a secure connection. If any future issues occur we will not be working Sears and this makes me sad as we have been faithful customers of Sears since 1972.

My technician, Kevin, was great. Overall experience has been very poor. There does not seem to be any way to speak to a real person at this company. At my initial diagnostic visit (where my tech was great), I declined the recommended service, wanting to research new stoves before going with the recommended option. After two days, I decided to go with the recommendation, but their AI system could not figure out that I wanted to order a part and repair instead of yet another diagnostic visit. No way to escalate to a real person via phone, chat, or website! I have to recommend NOT working with the company after that.
