Fred came as soon as he could in light of faulty contact info (My work # rather than my home number), and he showed me how to defrost the fridge to reset the cooling system. He didn't ultimately diagnose the problem b/c he said any of the posdibilities would cost over $400, more than I had budgeted. He was friendly and professional.

Rating 3 stars because the service guy that came out was really nice. Told the guy I wasn’t sure if it was the electrical outlet or the dryer. He said the electrical outlet was positive. However, was told that we needed a new control board for our dryer that would cost $868. We declined since we could just buy a new dryer for that price. We bought a new dryer and had it delivered and installed and it didn’t work. Come to find out, it wasn’t the dryer that was broke or even needed a new control board. It wasn’t our electrical outlet that needed to be replaced. My husband replaced it with a $13 outlet from Lowe’s and we plugged the old dryer in that we were told needed a new control board and it’s been working just fine. We are returning the new dryer that we didn’t need. So unfortunately the Sears service was a waste of money for us and the diagnosis was incorrect.

Did not find a leak, see what happens in the next’s couple of loads take some photos.I really like my service technician guy Williams.

You all are way overpriced. The dryer is fixed almost $400 later for only a 30day warranty on work completed. Could have bought a new dryer for those prices.

The technician they send was awesome, however the Sears home warranty services itself is terrible! Initially they said they would not be able to send a repair man today so they tried to get me to cancel but I didn’t I kept calling to confirm the order so they eventually sent a technician! It is impossible to get a live person on the line, which is horrible customer service! But Aaron was great, he did a good job communicating about when he will be here and he fixed my dryer in a reasonable timeframe!

The technician that came to my home today was excellent. He explained exactly what was needed and how long it would take. He tried to explain to the office that this is the 3rd compressor we have had in this Kenmore Elite unit in 9 years with the last one being less than 2 years ago. This is a known issue with this model and yet he was still not able to get approval for a new unit. Also the fact that it is impossible to speak with a human for this warranty service is ridiculous! I have repair tickets in for two refrigerators this technician showed up, the one for the other one did not. How smart would it have been to assign this technician. This is the 2nd time the appointment for the other unit has been cancelled/rescheduled by Sears. I am pleased with the technician that came today, he did all he could, but I am very dissatisfied with SEARS home warranty. Follow Up: My refrigerator has stopped working again less than a week, just as the technician predicted. The response you see from Sears is generic, that contact info is for the AI Bot and all you can do is make or cancel an appointment. Do not be fooled that they are trying to resolve issues.
