Not happy I wasn't notified the technician wasn't going to make my last appointment until AFTER the appointment time

Our repairman(Mario) for our washer was awesome!!! However, the customer service experience that we had with the call center was disappointing and frustrating. We were automatically scheduled for service calls while we waited for parts to be delivered, but the scheduled us 2 weeks out. Our appointment time was from 8am-5pm, on one appointment (after waiting all day) I got a reschedule notification at 4pm. I had to wait 9 more days for my appointment at which time, we had a no show/no call from them. Again having to wait even longer for another appointment. Mario was scheduled to come out this past Monday and our washer is finally fixed after 7 weeks. My score for Mario is a 5 star, but the call center is only a 3 star.

Mario was great and very personable. Pricing was rediculous. I paid less for the dryer and prices haven’t gone up that much.

Technician wouldn’t work on our machine because the model number sticker was missing. I asked if he could call or lookup our model number based on previous work and he said they don’t like to do that. Options were basically buy a new washer. Then proceeded to charge us $139. I thought this was a perfect analogy of modern day customer service. Zero interest in trying to help me find a solution. I called a local repair shop and they said they will do their best to help me identify the part we need. That’s all I’m asking for as a customer - try. Unfortunately we will not be using Sears Home Services for any future services.

The technician was fine. He could not remove my wall ovens without a second technician. I told the receptionist that but she said that they don't send two people. Then he told me on this 3-year old oven that the parts were no longer available. I paid him $139 to basically tell me there wasn't nothing that he could do. He said he was going to do the shotgun approach and order multiple parts but the the some were not available.

Sears Home Services 5407 Trillium Blvd Hoffman Estates, IL 60192 Re: Request for Full Refund – Order #000822013091315 To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally complain about the service I received from Sears Home Services regarding Order #000822013091315 for an LG washer/dryer combo at my residence listed above. Prior to the scheduled appointment, I provided all requested information, including photos and the appliance serial number. Despite this, when the technician arrived, he requested the same information again, indicating that the details I had already submitted were not properly relayed to him. During the appointment, the technician spent approximately three-quarters of the visit sitting in his truck. He then informed us that it would cost an additional $100 for assistance to lift the washer off the dryer. This requirement was already evident in the photos I had submitted in advance, and this information should have been communicated prior to the appointment. Because he did not have assistance available, he left without completing any work. Ultimately, my nephew diagnosed the issue using the error code, purchased the necessary part for $16, and repaired the unit himself in under an hour. Despite receiving no actual service, my credit card was charged $139.00 for a service call. This charge is unacceptable given that no repair was performed and the visit was unproductive due to Sears’ failure to properly prepare for the appointment. I am therefore requesting a full refund of $139.00. I expect this matter to be resolved promptly. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to confirm the refund. Sincerely, Debra Warren

Unfortunately I had to post this review regarding my recent home repair experience. My technician was here all of 10 mins to prepare a $1200 estimate and charged me $150 for his time. Then made a call to LG to find part covered under warranty and is now repaired. Seems like a real waste of $150 for bad advice. Not recommending this service

Worst service I've seen as a technician my self had a guy out for dishwasher repair I bought the unit as a ding and dent so it has no warranty or sticker I understand that but wanted to know why is was not working but because he had no sticker to look at he would not even look at the dishwasher to see what part was wrong and if he could have diagnosed it and found what part was needed and looked it up that way and so I flipped it on it side and found it was just a sensor and fixed it my self he was not even here for 15 min every poor job in my opinion with a hefty price tag to boot
